Why Miami needs to sign Michael Crabtree - Video

The balance shown on those YAC's is sweet.

The majority of the clips were prior to his injuries I believe, but what stood out to be was his run blocking. Feel like he could be helpful to Miller and Tannehill in the run game.

Even if he took a step back, its not like we are relying on him as our #1 target. See Cameron, Landry, and Stills getting more looks. Maybe even a rookie we add, too. Hope Crabtree signs tomorrow.

Here is why you don't.

He is a sorry arsed receiver.....

Sorry, just not a fan.

"His hands and concentration" (think Landry)....his "physical run blocking" (think Landry)...and YAC (think Landry)

This guy is going to be a perfect compliment to Landry. Both of them being utilized for our run game and catching passes underneath.

Its obvious that our FO has had a plan since the beginning...I just hope we still draft a top WR in the 1st. If we don't...please get Rashad Greene or Phillip Dorsett

Possession receiver that lacks elite speed. Nothing to be excited about, there's plenty of those around.

Would be a decent signing if not for his attitude issues.

I don't know if this stud has any gas left but cmon!!! 8 plays in a 6 year career? this jock sniffer is cherry-picking IMHO. show me an ass-load of plays(especially since his achilles injury)

All the below Crabtree plays are post-achilles injury.

Sure, Crabtree has lost a step. Nobody is saying that Crabtree is megatron. It's just that he's a good fit for Tannehill's skillset, he can still produce, he can still get open, he still plays with strength, he won't be expensive (important, considering Suh's monster contract), he's only 27, he'll be a good bang-for-the-buck, and he's an upgrade over post-injury Brian Hartline.

great post, I thank you

My opinion is that Crabtree is 2 years removed from his surgery probably pretty close to getting back to 100% im sure! he is only 27 so giving him a one year prove it deal really isn't gonna affect Miami a whole lot if it doesn't work out but if it does and he returned to the way he played a few years ago we just snagged us a good WR to go with Landry and Stills! Also his skill set goes really well with tannehills and he would probably become one of tannehills favorite WRs for sure
