I made a similar post for the Jets game and it was so accurate that I wanted to give it another go.

  • Our defensive frontline should dominate the injury plagued Steeler's offensive line.
  • Big Ben will be elusive and will make big plays for them but our defense has faced better offenses this year than Pittsburgh's.
  • Their defense remains the heart of that team, and though they might be a shell of their former self, that defense always finds a way to make plays.
  • This is Mike Wallace's first return to Pittsburgh and with all the trash talking he did this offseason comparing Big Ben and Tanny, he is going to be eager to dominate. To show Pittsburgh he deserved a $60 million dollar contract.
  • Tannehill has a chance to show what kind of QB he is this week. Can he connect with Mike Wallace deep or will he under throw him yet again? If Tannehill can connect deep on passes this Sunday we could easily dominate this game.
  • We must improve our running game regardless of what team we play, but it has been shown that this team can win when the running game is not dominant.

I think we have a good shot. But it's not nearly as favorable as last week, when we were on the road following a defeat and facing a floundering rookie quarterback. Now we're on the road after a victory and facing a guy who has won two Super Bowls.

Our only two road games after a defeat this year were at New England and at the Jets. We led 17-3 against the Patriots and won 23-3 last week. Those road games after a loss tend to bring out the greatest uptick in performance compared to expectation, especially early in the game. A road game after a victory is considerably more of a coin flip, with lots of dispersion.

Besides, the Dolphins haven't won the game after playing the Jets since Saban was our coach. That's a pathetic trend that we need to get rid of.

Anytime you have a QB like Ben Roethlisberger you'll have a chance to win week in and week out. But we have a better overall team IMO.

If we get patterson back this week we have an 80-85 % chance to beat the steelers ,but with out patterson 55-60 % chance , but Pittsburge is banged up pretty bad right now .

Calling for a nice little snow storm and freezing temperatures right now. Miami will likely never be a good cold weather team and especially not now with Tannehill having so little experience in dealing with the elements. If the temps were mild I think we have a good shot but playing in a freezing snow storm will be a tough test. Dick LeBeau is pretty good at beating inexperienced QBs too.

I think our season pretty much rests on this game. Throw all the stats and talk away about Tannehill; he has a big opportunity to show his potential in these last few games. He can lead us into the Play Offs by winning 3 from 4 and that starts with a visit to Pittsburgh. I'm comfortable with Miami's ability to beat the Bills and the Jets. I'm confident we have a pretty decent shot at beating NE as well. Pittsburgh though, I'm not sure. Hard place to go and win. Elite QB, credible team that know what they're doing at this stage of the season and on life support. This is where Tannehill must provide a glimpse of what he can do. I don't care how or by what score; just find a way to win and make this team relevant. It's on him.

I hope he listened to Brady when he said something like this is the time of the year the contenders separate themselves from the pretenders.

Why Miami will beat Pittsburgh - because we'll score more points than them?

Roy, Im gonna explain something to you that I tell my Buffalo Bill's brother. Weather has no bearing on whether you are a good football team or not.

My family used to hate when the dolphins would wear people down in the heat and would bitch about how unfair it was. But it was Larry Csonka and Larry Little and Don Shula that made it unfair.

When the Bills were a Super Bowl team, the weather was not the reason they won in Buffalo all the time. It was because they were the better team. Period.

The weather can effect turnovers. But it works both ways. The better hard hitting team ussually makes those happen anyways.

The only thing I am worried about in this game is the refs.

But tomlins fake "unknowingly" interferance should put a little damper on that.

The Steeler D is old and I believe Keisler will be out or banged up still. He tried to make a comeback last week. Didnt work from what I could see.

They signed some guy for LT for Beacham, but then turned around and left the team. Maybe he was bullied. I dont know. The starting Center is Who? Stop the run with authority and make Ben run around.

The defense is one of the oldest in the NFL if not mistaken. Spread them out and make them run and Lamar Miller to the outside all day again. Wear them down with first down conversions. Just like the Jets.

Anytime you have Mike Tomlin (literally) on the field, they have a chance!

He knew what he was doing against the Ravens during that return (just look at his sly sideways eyesight).

It was a classless thing to do by a desperate coach.

FYI, I saw at least one under thrown deep ball by Big Ben in highlights recently, which was caught. Just sayin'

Tomlin should be suspended for this game after that absurd stunt he pulled on Thanksgiving.

Tomlin did a stupid move, but honestly i'll take him and that stupid move over Philbin 365 days a year..
