If Ginn would take the place of ricky in the formation just a few times, I would like to see what kind of gains he would garner. Getting him in motion and handing the ball off would be a fast play that the defense would have to take good angles to make the tackle.

What do you think?

you cant throw the whole kitchen sink at them. Notice we are using different wildcat plays week after week.

I think Ginn would come around the Oline...see a 150lb CB waiting for him and duck out of bounds....sadly.

I'm waiting for the flea flicker to Pennington with Ginn running deep. Sooner or later it'll happen.

Ginn in the Wildcat format is coming. I bet that is a wrinkle we haven't seen yet.

I think it is too...for some reason it's almost as if Sparano will "reward" Ginn by allowing him to return kicks and participate in the Wildcat formation once he develops better as a receiver.

As DFAn said, you can't throw everything out at once. That's what hurt us in the past as we didn't have a lot of trick plays in the playbook, but we'd always go to them so they would never catch anybody off guard. I think that Sparano is gonna keep going with the Wildcat for another week or 2 (it still worked against SD, just not as well as it did against NE), and when some team thinks they've got it figured out, we'll throw in another wrinkle (Like Ginn coming in motion instead of Ricky, or Ronnie taking 2 steps forward and then throwing it deep)

that's what I have been saying all along. OMG imagine the FITS the defense would have if they faked the end around to Ginn!

LOL!!

I agree Ginn should be used on an end around from that play.. or lined up as QB in that formation. I was starting to think it was looking too predictable with ronnie running it all the timel. Sure it's great for Ronnie's stats.. but I think it would be a little more creative moving different people in there.

All in good time.

Because he would run out of bounds. Ahaha. NO seriously, I don't know why we havn't used him in this, IF he were to get lose, theres no catching him. It's just the getting loose part that's difficult.

Their is so much truth in this statement. And besides Ginn has and never will be elusive, which you would need coming from a player running a sweep like that. But he would be a nice decoy, running down the sideline. :sidelol:

I think the Wildcat was developed to have Ricky and Ronnie on the Field at the same time. Ginn could produce, but Ginn almost seems scare when running and is affraid to take a hit. Who knows, but I love the Wildcat formation.
