Why not bring back Junior?

We are obviously looking for more linebacker help. Why not bring back Seau at a reasonable price. He knows our team, our system and is like having a coach on the field. I know he is on the downside of his career, but this seems like a great fit, even if just as a backup. Why not?:dolphins:

If he still wants to play it might as well be for us. He is waaay on the downside but sure could help in some sort of rotation. If we were looking for someone to build our defense around it would be a big no. He is such a smart player and could only help the young ones develop.

I remember reading a quote last year saying he wanted to play again. I don't expect him to start but what a nice option as a backup.

He's too old and gets injured too often, I'd rather give someone else a chance who could make a future impact. I bet he'll sign with San Diego, maybe play one game, then retire.

I think we're waiting on the cut dates to pass and see who's available, because there will be some quality players cut around the league. I think that's when Saban will shine again, picking up a gem to solidify another position on the roster. If we can't get what we need there, then I think Saban will approach Seau about a possible return. I think Saban is trying to turn the corner on our aging defense and focus on getting youthful players who can develop. JMO, but I would not be against bringing Seau back for the right price, he knows the defensive scheme, so missing some camp wouldn't be a disadvantage for him.

he said towards the end of the year that 100% sure he will come back and play even if it isnt the dolphins
