McKinnie was one of the best LT in football for a long time. He is in decline...as a Left Tackle but since we have the best LT in football why not slide him to the RT spot. He dominated the blind side so his job on the right should be an easy transition. Then bring in Leonard Davis or Brian Waters to be our Left Guard if Carey isnt ready with leg injury, or to beat out Incognito or if Pouncey struggles. With that Line : Long Waters/Davis Pouncey/Incognito Carey/Pouncey McKinnie Daniel Thomas and Reggie Bush might stand a chance and Henne might not be rushed to throw 20 INT's. We have watched many guys go other places in free agency on the cheap. Bottom line is if we are going to have Henne as our starter we have to bring in talent that is capable of protecting him and give him a legit running game. With a patchwork line that will not happen and we will be doing same thing again next year. The only perk would be getting Luck in the draft but if he seen Miami has 1st picks he would prob go back to school.

Did McKinnie or Waters play for the Cowboys yet? Okay then.

I would love to bring in Davis to replace Carey at G and move Carey back to RT and get Colombo the F*** out of the starting line up

i have read davis is in solid shape but kind of weird none of these guys have bene signed. All three of these guys have been better than Columbo or Willis but nobody is calling so we shall see

Not true. As I posted earlier, the Dolphins and several other teams have contacted Leonard Davis.

I meant to say nobody is signing them. We spoke to Davis's agent on the second. I would have liked Davis over either of these other scrubs

Intrigued by Brian Waters. Durable perennial pro bowler back in the day to replace the weakest link on our line.

Davis and Mckinnie..... not with 10 foot poles.

If you look at the Oline with Murtha in the picture, the fins are probably holding off. Ohara is the guy they said the door is still open. Its a two way street. Dont think for a second that their current team is not telling them to hold on til they get to a certain point in the preseason cus this year is a diff year and vets use contracts to hold out for physical reasons. Looking at our roster, just signing willis, which people are forgetting, then they have enough good backups and prob feel they dont need to spend more big money which is what leonard would want. Not extreme but big nonetheless.

our RT situation is not as bad as people making it out to be.

why would u not want Davis. I could understand Mckinnie but as a guard Davis has been every bit as good as Waters is younger and has been reported in shape.

I think Davis and Waters are weighing their options as to why they have not signed with anyone yet. I also think they might be waiting for most of training camp to be over before they sign. A lot of veteran players hate training camp so...

i personally would rather have Davis. he just got cut because he has a fat contract. KC people felt like he was slipping according to sources

They didn't play for the Cowboys, that's a no no.
