It burned watching most our plays go towards D. Hagan and Camarillo. Did anyone watch how Ronnie Brown performed last season before his injury? Why aren't we running screen plays out the wazoo to get Ronnie back to being Ronnie. Why not have Ginn in at KR & Pr if that's what he does best? This team is starting to make a moron of me for following football as much as I have in the past. In the end, we are delusional fans whose team has won 1 game in the last 21 and will be coveting this losing culture for quite some time with the decisions being made.

I mean come on why not draw up plays for our superstars. Ginn on the bench. Ronnie blocking to give Chad enough time to throw the ball to Camarillo. OOps, incomplete pass.

(and I like Camarillo, but he's not our superstar)

You can't run screens and draws without having an outside game people respect. When you don't even TRY to throw deep, people will assume you can't or you won't.

Overall, this is one of the reasons I really question this staff. I could care less about 0-2. Honestly, I figgured 1-1 was a pipe dream when the schedule came out. I got more optimistic, but, that's over with. This staff is not putting players in position to succeed. I'm not going to talk about WRs alot, because I'm no judge of WRs....But clearly, somthing isn't working. You have to put Ginn doing somthing he's proven he's good at at this level, KR/PR. Give him the ball and, say.."Go get it son." RB needs to be utilized catching the ball. At the very least, he needs to be in on third downs.

I'm not sure why this staff won't use our best players in positions they can succeed in. My only theory at this point is that they are treating this season as an extended pre-season.

Ginn needs to play every offensive play considering the amount Miami has invested in him. What happened to all the Ginn looks like a total different reciever crap we were hearing in the preseason. He is supposed to be running routes better and playing faster.

what dont you understand

WE DONT HAVE TALENT.
WE DONT HAVE TALENT.
WE DONT HAVE TALENT.

WE CANT RUN PLAYS BECAUSE WE DONT HAVE THE TALENT. NO MATTER HOW YOU DRAW IT UP, IF YOUR PLAYERS JUST AREN'T GOOD ENOUGH THEY WONT WORK.

We have players that can go to almost any other team and become a superstar, so stop:boohoo:. If Ginn, Ronnie Brown, Ricky Williams and a few others went to say... any team that can utilize their strengths, im sure it would come back to bite us... we have talent, we are just not using it correctly.

Elle... no pun intended... but your head MUST be in the clouds...

"Superstars" we don't have any stinking "Superstars"....

Actually I completely understand that. I understood it before you helpfully posted it three times. What I'm saying is put player in positions to succeed rather than fail. That's the coaches job. Ronnie Brown is better 3/4 speed than Cobbs 100%. Ginn, like it or not, is the one guy on this team that is a threat to turn in a big play. Ginn has proven he can be a threat in the return game. Brown has proven he's better than Cobbs.

The coaches are not utilizeing them and putting them in a position to succeed.

Excellent point. I didn't fully grasp it until I started to work in a sports stats office and some of the sharp guys pointed it out to me with the devastating numbers.

Plays like draws and screens work wonderfully for the best teams because they attack downfield and the opposition has to account for everything. But the lower you go in the caliber of offense, draws and particularly screens are the worst imaginable plays. They are routinely stuffed, particularly on 3rd down. You can always tell an idiot offensive coordinator if he runs screen plays on 3rd down with a lousy QB. The top teams will destroy those prayer plays with a laugh.

The Canes are in similar shape to the Dolphins right now, with new QB and young receivers without a proven vertical game. It's a joke to watch Nix try draws and screens when no decent team is going to respect them.

Fans who call for screens and draws inevitably do it after watching a skilled offense get away with it, and it looks like stealing, and they don't properly differentiate how dramatically it plummets when a poor team attempts cutesy plays.

With Pennington we're playing in a box. The ball takes a vacation on his mid range throws. Teams figure they can handle the occasional lobs downfield to less than awesome receivers. There's no chance we're going to trick anyone inside the box with draws and screens. We get better or we suffer right where we are.
