In my mind you should be judged on how well you do, with the players at your disposal. Looking at Colin Kaerpenick and Tyrod Taylor, they have to be classed as lower tier QB'S, but Roman has got more out of these two than any other co-ordinator and more than their talent justifies.

To me, Tannehill has more overall quality than both. I believe he would get the most out of our offense and lower the quality of a divisional rival.

My cousins a 49er fan, they despised his play calling at the end of his run.

Roman is a GOOD OC.

That is just like what happened with Lazor right here.

Kapernick played horribly just like RT is playing very poorly right now.

It's easy to blame the OC, but both those QBz are/were playing like back-ups, and not very good back-ups

I think Roman will definitely get his chance to be a HC pretty soon, but if we're going with an offensive-minded HC, I would rather bring in Payton, Jackson or even Mike Shula before GR.

If we're going with a guy who doesn't have HC experience I want Sean McDermott.

I think the way he has the Bills playing offensively is way more than anyone expected. He gets the most out of the talent he has and that is what makes a very good coach. If he can get productivity out of Taylor and CK, in my mind he would work wonders with RT.

I don't want another "Head-Coach-In-Training."

Stupid line of thinking. They're all "head coaches in training" at some point. Getting someone with previous HC experience is certainly no guarantee of success. I'd rather take a real swing and miss on a smart, capable hungry guy than be a ***** and go for the retread with a name value like Shanahan, for example.

The fact is Harbaugh instilled confidence in Kaepernick and put him in positions to be successful. It is leadership and coaching driving performance to a level the player wouldn't normally achieve.

Everything done with Tannehill has been contrary to that in Miami. They rarely get him out of the pocket, never let him audible, and programmed him to be a robotic mess. Some of this is on Ryan as well. But give me a coach who sets the bar ridiculously high for not only his QB but also his team. Then convinces the same team and QB that the impossible is possible. That's what Harbaugh does and did with Kaepernick and SF.

This organization on the other hand is too muddy too convoluted too unstable to do this. Bad leaders and worse decisions. Some QBs are naturally gifted enough to do it alone. Brees and Rothlisberger for example can go anywhere and put up numbers. Inexperienced guys like Tannehill with 15 starts coming in to the NFL need much more.

Tannehill has tried his best and failed. But fact is it's not all on him. This organization collectively can't find their azz with both hands in a phone booth. Just throw Tanny onto the ever growing pile of organizational failures.

Greg Roman would already be a head coach if the 49'ers hadn't kept winning and made the Superbowl. He will be hired in the next year or so. I could see a good fit with him coaching Andrew Luck in Indianapolis again.

And how's that worked out for ya over the last 15 years?
