For a change, lets have some reasonable expectations as Phin fans. Even with Ricky, were we going to the Superbowl behind an O-line consisting of...
One solid producer, one kid who won the job by default, one player who got schooled and cost us games last season, one player who got demoted by another team, and one player who..um...well...we don't know WHO #5 will be. Add to that the fact that NONE of these players hacve ever played a SINGLE season together, and you're looking at a rough season next year regardless of who is running the ball. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if Ricky decided that running behind this line was going to get him killed. Now, don't get me wrong, this line could be VERY good...in 2005. Honestly I'm kind of jazzed for 2005, we might have a high draft pick, a new coach, there could be a LOT to get excited about then. But for 2004? I'm just going to sit back, enjoy the games regardless of their outcome, and try to assess the talent we have . In 2005 our D will be approaching their final years, but they should all have at least one good year left. Lets see what happens, and just tone down the expectations to a reasonable level.
