The Dolphins are really scraping the bottom of the barrel now that there is no chance to acquire P. Manning. Matt Flynn, Alex Smith, David Gerrard, are all very average to below average QB's.

Why not step it up and get a guy who has been a Top Ten QB and who will get you 4000+ yards/30 TDs/a 65% completion percentage, a 97 QB rating. Romo is only 31 years old and has at least 4-5 good years left in him.

I know many people dislike Romo because they hate the Cowboys, but you surround him with some good WR's and TE's like Laurent Robinson, Miles Austin, Roy Williams, Dez Bryant, Jason Witten and he will better than any of the guys we are now looking at. Jerry Jones said he is not going to move him, but our first rounder and some other compensation might be able to swing the deal?

The Cowboys now have Kyle Orton, and he may not be Romo, but they could start Orton, draft a guy like Tannehill from Texas A&M to please the fans in Texas, and everyone is happy.

Cowboys are NOT going to give up Romo. Not gonna happen..no way no how.

Also, Orton SUCKS and will be the 3rd stringer here in Dallas....just sayin......

The Cowboys signed Orton not to compete with Romo but because they needed an experienced backup after Kitna retired.

Can we please let Philbin atleast try to build HIS team through the draft instead of trying to build it through free agency.

Who am I kidding.

What good WR and TE would we suround him with?
Tight Ends (Fleener of Stanford, D. Allen of Clemson or Michael Egnew of Mizzou).....Wide Receivers (Mohamed Sanu, Stephen Hill, Rueben Randle). Lots of options.

Regardless of what anyone thinks here about Romo or the Cowboys (and believe me, I hate them too!), it's not going to happen because Romo is a very good quarterback, and very good quarterbacks don't grow on trees.

If those are options to surround Romo with? Why can't they be options to surround Flynn, Moore or whomever the Dolphins QB might be?

I mean why all the doom and gloom about our receiving corp when there are still options available before the season begins.

I am cool with staying with Matt Moore for another year over bringing in a lot of QB's that have been mentioned, but it sounds like Ireland isn't going with that option and is even considering Gerrard or Smith (puke). Either he should be serious about Flynn and make him a decent offer, or stick with Moore. We're playing musical chairs with QB's right now, and we may end up with nothing.

wow, you must be extremely bored or lonely or both !!! what a waste of time that was, use you brain b4 you waste your time. Jerry jones went on record to say he rather have romo then most other qb's so hes not gonna settle for orton........lmao i laugh and shake my head at this ................just plain FOOLISH

Wow. What a waste of time it was to create an entire diatribe just to bash somebody. Next time, use common sense before typing

How do you know the Dolphins have not made Flynn a decent offer? Philbin may think Flynn can be a starter in the league but not necessarily a franchise qb. They are not going to offer Flynn the type of money Kolb received last year and this might by why Flynn has not made up his mind if he wants to play in Miami or Seattle.

IMO, Smith and Garrard are just fall back options. They do not want to go into training camp with just Moore as the only true veteran on the roster.
