Ya me too. Honestly philbin isn't the packer coach that I want the most for HC. I'd rather take Tom Clements over Philbin
Any coach we sign has a big chance of failing even fisher. Just cuz he has some mediocre sucess in tennessee doesn't guarentee it here in miami. And yes carmichael does have a top 2 QB in the league but carmichael is a big part of why brees is so good. He is brees QB coach, he is in the room with brees every week going over gameplan and watching film along with peyton. Bress wasn't a top 5 QB when he came to the saint, cuz if he was he would have had more options than to choose between miami and the "aints" when he was a FA. Carmichael is very good at developing QBs and is involved heavily in gameplanning with the offense
Saints Offense - TM - Saints
Saints OC Pete Carmichael has retained play-calling duties since coach Sean Payton returned to the sidelines following a broken leg.
Regarded as one of the most advanced play-callers in the league, Payton maintains final say and continues to offer suggestions. Carmichael, meanwhile, has the Saints offense averaging over 520 yards per game over the past seven weeks. He's building quite a reputation, to the point where the Saints have to be concerned about losing him to a head coaching job.
Yeah he called the game against the colts where they scored over 60
Saints offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael Jr. did such a good job calling plays when head coach Sean Payton was unable to earlier this year, Payton has kept him in the role.
This is a change from previous years in New Orleans. Payton had called every play for six season in New Orleans, according to Jeff Duncan of the New Orleans Times-Picayune.
“We’re on a roll, and obviously he’s doing a great job — not just a good job, he’s doing a great job,” quarterback Drew Brees said. “I think we all feel comfortable with the way the dynamics have been here the last 10 weeks.”
