I tried looking up if anyone had posted anything on him and found nothing.

Not sure if Gase didn't like what he saw in Hillman, or if he just isn't worth bringing in, but for a cheap 1 year deal I don't see how it hurts. Have a young vet (24yrs old) who is proven, and even if he isn't a great RB, he is better than D.Williams. Maybe they are waiting so we don't lose the comp pick for Miller, but I am shocked no one has signed him. We are so needy that having Ajayi, Hillman and even Foster makes sense, due to hte injury concerns with Foster and Ajayi (in college).

I think the answer to your question is what you stated above. Gase is not a fan.

Yep . . . I mean I'm not sure how cool him and Gase were . . . but I'd imagine they could have something in place where he signs the day the compensatory picks will no longer be affected.

Don't think this staff wants a "all or nothing" running back.

I think they want guys who a grind games out.

Not to mention his pass pro is terrible.

Gase had close ties to him in Denver. If he's staying away from Hillman, you'd want to be able to trust his judgement.

If Gase wanted him he'd be interested. As far as I'm concerned, he isn't worth sniffing if Gase is desperate for a back and hasn't even given him a call. He was always pretty underwhelming to me, so I don't blame him.

I've always felt, similar to league interest in Matt Flynn 4 years ago, if there's a player that fits a need on a team AND has ties to a coach on a teams staff... And the team STILL doesn't make an effort to sign him... Then that tells me all I need to know about the coach's opinion on the player

Not gonna say that Foster is perfect but I'd rather give him a shot than Hillman.....

You'd rather give an over-the-hill, injury prone, past-his-prime back a shot over a 24-year old who has relatively little wear and tear? Makes no sense.

I would rather give Foster a shot than Ronnie Hillman, CJ Spiller, Chris Johnson, and any running back not named CJ Anderson.

Makes perfect sense. The argument can always be made for selecting a has-been over a never-was.

There is a reason Denver matched that offer sheet - Hillman is not good.
