With the recurrent illness of Jeno, we again will be weak in the interior line. Our tackles did OK during our first game, its the interior linemen where we are weakest at. James will be out of next week game, and McKinney will start at C.
I say, why not let St Clair get a bulk of time there also. He was our best lineman last year. I really believe that Hadnott at RG, and Middleton at LG is our best option, now that leaves the C position up for grab. Let's see what StClair can do there! I for one, have seen enough of McKinney there.

St Clair is a crappy o lineman. I dont think Houck can fix him.

we should sign miss piggy to be our center its a major up grade and hadnot can move back to rg

So, you are saying that he is worth than McKinney at C ?? How do you know??? have you seen St Clair play the C position for us?? I sure have seen enough of McKinney to want an upgrade in that position.

i don't know, but this makes 2 entirely diffrent coaching staffs that have not tried him at center after thats what he originally played with the rams so apparently he's just not cut out for it.

Guys, Jeno is still having relapses from his first bout with that virus.

It's not like he's going to be out for the year, jeez. Here we go again with the overreacting.

The starting o-line will look like:

LT: Vernon Carey
LG: Jeno James
C: Rex Hadnot
RG: Frank Middleton
RT: Stockar McDougle

Its not over reacting Devil, its only to see who is going to be out back up. If you look at my past post I was one of the first people who had the above line up as our starting unit. But, the problem presents itself when somebody gets hurt. We need to find out who will be the best #2 center. I still dont believe that that person is McKinney.

I gotcha.

That's why we signed Alanzo Ephraim. All this moving around on the line is just experiment.

Saban knows who his best 5 are.

Its not a reach to say that a guy who cant cut it at tackle can be be moved to center. But we are talking about St. Clair, he sux butt no matter where you put him.

yeah, I havent lost faith in Coach Saban, or coach H. But After witnessing how McKinney got manhandle by rooks during training camp.... And now he is starting, again!! Guess I'm being paranoid.

If Saban didnt try to make him a C and the previous regime didnt either it must be for some reason.

The C is supposed to be cerebral in the pros ,so maybe thats the problem.St Clair may not meet expectations in that regards.

I think he was an All american at C in college but in college the position is pretty straighforward.

what ever happened with that other stiff from A&M? the guy drafted a year after McKinney?
