Why not trading Taylor may help in the long run.

After day 1 of the draft it is clear we have a plan in place. It was executed to perfection with the additions of solid 3-4 defensive players and powerful blockers. It appeared that the best we could get from anyone for Taylor was a late 2nd rounder. Now that the draft is past it will become much easier to deal him for a higher selection. Weather we deal him before training camp or at the the trading deadline it will be much easier to get a "future" first rounder. You saw what happened with the Chiefs this year and what 2 firsts can do for a franchise and hopefully we can address our needs next year with talents like Malcolm Jenkins.
 
if we are not doing well next season, we can trade him in october at the trade deadline just like we did with chambers last year..
