I think this is one of our best players is howard is sucking *** so bad, then why not try out bell as a CB. Im sure he would work out!

I like Bell but he doesn't have the skills to be a cornerback. Perhaps with the right coaching he would be a better option in the dime package than Howard. Of course, with the right coaching my Grandma would probably be a better option than Howard.

Yeah Yeremiah is a good player, good speed at safety but corner is a bit of a stretch although his foot control is good... Isn't it weird having issues with the secondary after sooo long of being great. Back when Buckley was a starter is the last time I remember worrying about it.

Bell is too slow for cornerback

Bell is one of the fastest players on the team. He is faster than Madison, Howards and Daniels. He might not be quick enough however he is not too slow.

Thank you, I was about to post that, if everyone will remember it was his range that impressed the coaching staff.

Bell looked like the only player on our D with any speed at all in preseason. I'm still not sure how well he would work as a corner, but I'm surprised he hasn't tried to play nickel at all.

well it sounds like everyone here like yeremiah, I know its to tough to go from safety to starting CB, but thats not what I meant. I want him to take howards place. I think we will be fine with madison and daniels as CB and why not try out that new guy jackson that has taken howards spot. It just pisses me off that bell gets no play I know hhe can at least fill in the dime or nickel CB position. How is tebucky jones playing, is he playing well enough to have bell on the bench? I just want him on the field the more the better, I think hes one of those players that is always where the ball is, a nack for turnovers. That is what we need.

And he's one of our toughest hitters. Isn't that what Saban demands of our corners?

I don't know. It sounds like a good idea but Saban knows what he's doing. if he doesn't think it will work then i trust him.

Sounds like a good try though for me. Didn't Freeman play nickel for us last year and he was a safety?

Also, maybe Saban is confident that Kiwawkee and Daniels can step up to the plate and shore up our nickel package.

Like the others are saying, Bell has SPEED. He just isn't quick enough, and his hips don't have enough swerve. He doesn't have the ability to cut to follow WR breaks and difficult routes.

Bell wouldn't do good at CB. He is too slow for being a CB and he would get beat quite often. He is a much better S, then he will be at CB.
