why on 2nd down an one would be pass?

2nd and 1 is a good down to throw the ball.

I don't want to criticize specific playcalls because I don't think they were the problem. The problem was the gameplan. Everything short. Everything.

I think its great to throw on second and one, perfect time to take a shot deep. But third and one was everything that is wrong with this coaching staff and this QB. We line up in I formation after the RB's had been balling and gashing KC. Somehow KC has gaping holes in the middle on a short yardage play but for whatever reason we drop back to pass, Tannehill looks left where two receivers have cut out and have only one defender a couple yards away from both, one Dolphin several yards behind the other, and Tannehill looks deep and sees that play isn't there, and doesn't have time to reorient before he takes a sack he never should have taken. Even an incompletion and we can keep the drive alive by perhaps going for it, but a sack ruined the drive and by extension the game, because by the time the Dolphins got the ball back it was over.

Philbin and Tannehill were able to one up their level of epicly bad game management from Buffalo 1.0 last year where we decided to put Tyson Clabo against Mario Williams at a time when doing so defied all logic considering the game situation.

One of my friends posted that the Miami Hurricanes could beat the Bucs on Thursday night. My response was that it was too bad the Dolphins wouldn't.
