How many 6'5" or taller WR's with around 4.63 speed are doing anything in the NFL???

Zero

How many have have been given opportunities?? 100's 1000's over the years???

His 31 inch vertical isn't going to help much either.

If these tall guys aren't super athlete's they just don't make it.

Most of the guys listed at 6'4" in the NFL are under 6'4" and you can count on one hand the 4.6 guys who are 6'4" and doing something in the NFL and like I said, guys like Larry Fitzgerald are closer to 6'3" and have great verticals.

Even our own Wilford has a plus 40 inch vertical.

Yes there are some very successful shorter guys with 4.6 speed but these guys are quick like Welker,Bess, and Boldin. You can't begin to compare these kinds of body types with Turners.

I predict Turner will be a complete waste of a valuable 3rd round pick.

What I do see is our QB's trying to force the ball to our "big" target and throwing interceptions.

If Turner does become an effective player with his measureables, he will be the only one in the NFL.

And don't tell me about guys like Johnson or Matt Jones or Barden or Hardy because none of them are 4.6 guys or even close exept Barden who hasn't proved anything yet either.

I really liked half of this draft but this pick really soured it for me.

Could there be any other way to see this?

Statistics mean nothing, you have to plug in a lot more then that to see a player's ability. Steve Smith looked to just be a nobody and now he's a superstar. Why? Because of his desire to play, which can't be displayed in height/weight/40 time etc.

What a great look into the future...Thanks!

Maybe next year you can do our draft since you know better than our FO.

Plaxico Burress.

Everyone acts like the 40 time is the biggest indication of how a receiver will be.

epic fail i think there should be a pre req before they let people post new threads

Why this thread is clueless...

Because BP knows talent when he sees it, thus is a proven winner and you're not.

well at least well have the only good one then :D woo! every player has their own motivations well see if he really wants to work at it

he ran a 4.55 for the dolphins.plus the coach said he had more burst live than on film.

well than hopefully wilford works out.. lol because this guy must be garbage!

thanks elliot..

Actually, other than Burress, I can't find another WR that had more than 35 catches that was 6'5. There's more successful WRs that are sub 6 ft that are having success than 6'5.

I personally think it was a wasted pick as well.
