Why put Ronnie on IR today?

Can anyone help me understand why we would put Ronnie on IR today? It seems that if he made the trip then it was in our best interest to let the Panthers think he was playing. I just wonder why we didn't list him as questionable and the place him on IR Friday? It seems like we gained more by having Carolina get ready for Ronnie and the Wildcat, then we gain by listing him on IR...

Yes, we do have to fully disclose our injury list. We don't have to disclose our starter or how much playing time of course. You hit it on the head by putting Ronnie on IR safety Nate Ness was activated from the practice squad.

yeah, if ronnie isn't put on IR, then we will essentially have ronnie out, and no one coming in, ie nate ness. we'd have 52 men. lol
