Kup on 560 today was trying to figure out why Ross insists on retaining fIreland. We can rule out naked pics or compromising positions, as much as we joke about it. However, I think there is one blackmail theory that may hold water: fIreland holding evidence of insider trading or a Ponzi scheme in Ross's investments. That can be the ONLY reason why fIreland still has a job. It's just what we need, another Bernie Madoff situation, then we would be in the crapper for the next 10 years like the Mets.
 
This is the million dollar question. One good thing about this off season is that all this negative publicity is forcing the spotlight on Ireland and the FO. I can't remember a time where there was more discussion on Miami's woes. Hell they talked about Ireland on PTI today. I also can't imagine that Ross doesn't see all this. That hopefully will result in the removal of Ireland after the upcoming season.
 
I would prefer to think Ross just doesn't know and Ireland is baffling him with BS. You have to know Ross is hearing it from around the league and Ireland supposedly only has 1 year left on his contract, so you have to think something may pop but not until after the draft. GB doesn't like raiding of staff so maybe they are waiting a year to go after a GB staffer for GM.
 
I think Jeff Ireland convinced him there was talent on this team and the coaching staff was not using it to the fullest. Whether he was right or not remains to be seen.
 
Well Ross had Peterson advising him. He could have told Ross Ireland was a bad idea..
 
I think Stephen Ross coming off like a stage 5 clinger (Harbaugh, Fisher, Manning) on every guy he wants on this team is more of a problem than Ireland. If Ross had a bit more tact, we wouldn't look like such big fools. I don't really see any issue with Ireland other than him calling Dez Bryant's mom a prostitute.

Am I missing something else? Cause us not signing Flynn probably has more to do with Philbins thoughts on the guy than anything Ireland did or said.

He is right. Itr's already been proven. If the team didn't have talent they wouldn't have gone 6-3 after an 0-7 start. The problem was coaching.
 
If Ireland wasn't such a douchebag, a pompous scared dweeb with every move he made, there wouldn't be all this bad publicity.

It doesn't happen by ACCIDENT. It happens from JUSTIFACTION and REASON.

Cream always rises to the top, and whatever qualities your character possess, the worst or best ones, they always come to the forefront. They're impossible to hide. THAT is why Ireland is getting roasted and will continue to get roasted until he eventually finally does himself in. It's only a matter time, just like it was with every other clown this franchise has hired since Shula.

Actually I think this is the Problem. Peterson once hired Ireland and they are good friends. I think Peterson has been an advocate of Irelaland.
 
Holy ****, now I've heard it all. You guys are really beginning to ruin what once was a good site.
 
He probably took credit for all the good and blamed all the bad on Sporano. IE: 0-7 Start Sporano's fault. 6-3 Finish all thanks to Ireland.

He I honestly think we just manipulated/ass kissed Ross were as Sporano had his hands tied being an actual Head Coach.
 
Well, considering the way Ross lured all of these famous people that no absolutely jack **** about business to invest into his football team. Considering that Steven Ross is good friends with Mitt Romney, who is known for trimming businesses down and closing them out to take all the profits... Considering Steven Ross is a top contributor to Mitt Romney... I wouldn't close the case on a possible ponzi scheme...
