Is it me or does it seem like we are interviewing a lot more potential HCs then other teams? It seems Wayne and Bailey don't have a clue as to the direction they want to go with a new coach. I might be wrong but I don't recall other teams being rumored to interviewing so many different coaches.

I'm sure they have a clue. That's no reason not to talk to a lot of guys. They didn't do that last time and look what happened.

Wayne really really likes using his Jet. Thats JMO though.

Exactly, we just jumped on Saban and said he was the guy. Now we are hearing from many coaches and getting a feel for all of them. After hearing from them, their strategies etc. we will have a better feel for what route we will take on getting our next head coach. Its not my gas they are using to fly that plane around. Im all for interviewing as many people as they can, and then start narrowing it down when 2nd interviews come around and so on.

I dont think its a bad thing i just feel like it doesnt happen usually, it just feels like there is no clear favorite for the job

It's all about frequent flyer miles...he's trying to qualify for a new Krups coffemaker or that set of Brooks Brother Ties

haha, although im not sure you get ffm's if its your own plane you are flying. haha

How can you have a favorite before even taking any interviews? You interview guys and then decide who is your favorite. make haste slowly

IMO, Wayne is BUCKING his own trend in how he picks a coach. He is not standing around waiting. I am loving the fact that he is leaving no stone unturned. Interview the coach from St Thomas for all I care. Also, why does everyone think we need a GM. We have a proven, savvy, Gm in Randy Mueller. He ripped us off for 2 1st's, remember?

So Many Interviews, A Great Thing!!!

The Dolphins have been interviewing a lot of coaches to seek the best managment possible in the table and to avoid a similar situation as the one we just had (with EX-Coach Nick Saban), there are 4 open jobs for HC around the NFL:

*Pittsburgh
*Miami
*Oakland
*Arizona

So we might end up with one of the best interviewed:

*Cam Cameron (My Favorite)
*Rivera
*Ryan
*Ken Whisenhut
*Pete Carroll (My Least Favorite, Since He Isn't VERY Familiarized With The NFL System)

Would you pick someone of that list or would you pick another one?, please post all your comments...

We shouldn't be interviewing all these candidates. We should just pick a couple of names and end this thing as soon as possible.

The more time the better I say, and take all the time you need to interview everyone you want to. Make sure you get the right guy for the job, dont make any rash or ill-informed decisions. Personally, I like the way its being handled.

It would be a mistake not to interview a lot of candidates because there is no guarntee that we will get our first pick or even our second with the teams that are in need of coaches. Ken Whisenhunt could be a favorite but he may take over at the Steelers. I am glad Wayne is interviewing several as it shows they are taking a serious approach this time. They are also required by the NFL to interview minority canidates. I am sure they will interview a bunch and then make their short list.
