Ever wonder why so many former athletes turned NFL analyst hate the Phins?

Mike Golic - Cut by the Phins

Theismann - Drafted by the Phins instead chose to be a Toronto Argonaut (sounds like we cut him to me).

Jaworski - Traded by the Phins.

Jimmy Johnson - He's just guilty that he and his stoolie caused us to be mediocre for a 9 year period.

I didn't even have to look that hard to find this stuff. So basically, almost all of the ESPN players turned analysts have some type of sour grape with Miami. The only exceptions seem to be Wingo(barely could find info on his NFL career, Schlereth, Irvin (He hates everyone without a star on their helmet or a big mouth)and Hoge.

Thought some might find this interesting.

why does it matter if they hate us, just another breeze that's gonna pass by, don't believe everythin they say either cus most of it is just opinions they say

I couldn't care less that they hate us. I just often see a lot of posts on here asking why they do.

Isn't it Mike Golic not Bob?

I don't think Jaws was ever traded by the Phins. If memory serves he played as a back for us at the end of his career and then retired. I'm not sure why that would make him bitter.

I think JJ still likes the Phins. I've never heard him say anything overly negative about them.

But the one that you are missing is Chris Collingworth. When he was with the Bengals Shula made some comment about him being slow and he has never liked the Phins since.

I don't that the reason they don't give us props is beacause their still in love with the Patriots. And who cares what they say because they make ther Super Bowl predictions every year and their always wrong.

Its all just pretty meaningless talk just for its own sake. Football is a wonderful game because its so ridiculously difficult to predict; embrace the uncertainty and enjoy the ride.

It's not that they hate us it's just that they aren't sold on us doing big things this year. We do have a lot of questions about our team and how we are going to get through injuries and inexperience. They don't have the faith that we as fans do because they are not biased towards our team. The Pats have proven time and time again that they are winners which is why Sean Salisbury has an orgasim every time he talks about the Pats. When we start winning watch how fast all of the ESPN analyst jump on the band wagon.

Hey enigmatics, before you post in this thread, I just wanted to say hi!

Hahahahahaahahahahaha

I seriously am at my wits end with these guys. Whenever I'm in this forum, I feel like a kindergarden teacher having to tell the children not to eat bugs.

or.... maybe they are very tired of hearing how great we are
going to be EVERY year and we turn into a broken record of
colosal flop!!

maybe they are sick of the god like status layed upon one nick
saban before he has proven ANYTHING in the nfl?

jaworski? i don't buy that. he is a great friend of dan marino
and don shula. he said many times how he was honored to have
played for the fins and shula, he admired the team for so long.

yeah, there are some guys who hate the fins. big deal!

if any of you were writers or sports reporters, commentators, how
much love would you be giving the jets and bills? remember, many
of these guys had favorite teams growing up just like you!

danny marino "was" a die hard steelers fan growing up. that is where
he drreamed of playing his pro ball.

get dan alone with a couple iron city brews in him at his folks house
in the burgh and ask him who his favorite team is, miami or the
squeelers?

does this make dan a dolphins "hater"?

Don't Forget Randy Cross He's The Worst, He Makes His Snide Comments Whenever He Can. I Think He Is Still Bitter That Miami Got All The Hype Going Into That Super Bowl Against The Niners. Why He Is Still Bitter I Don't Know Since They Ended Up Winning But You Could See It In The Sportscentury Piece On Dan Marino He Even Said Something Along Those Lines As Well. People That Know Football Will Give Us Due Praise When Merrited. Miami Has Been Extremely Average The Last 10 Years And That's Mostly Due To JJ And Wanny. For Every Good Player They Found There Is 5 Bad Ones That They Drafted. How Do You Miss On Anquan Boldin That Badly And Take Eddie Moore?

We are a team that has not done anything in a long time and last year had a nice run if you think about it the final game against the Pats didn't mean much to them.
Don't forget what the Browns did to us.
You have to earn respect and the Fins have just started doing that.
I believe in 2002 we were favoured to go to the AFC Championship and did not make the playoffs

If you ever ran a sports network, it would surely fail. They're not in the business of fielding guys who hate other teams. It serves them no purpose to alienate 1/32 of the viewer demographic.

Not to mention, you would have to have seen and heard every comment out of their mouths, which you haven't, in order to make this premature argument.

Yesterday I heard Golic marvel at DC's comeback. In the past I've heard Schlereth call Ronnie Brown a beast. I've heard all these guys give us credit when the credit was due. They don't hate us. They're just not ready to hand us the SB. Get over it. :refuse:

Good point. Remember how long we had to endure the "is this the year" with Dolphins prognostications and then we would piss it all away with our annual swoon? I don't know how some of our fellow Dolphins fans expect anybody to believe in a team which has in the last decade done nothing.
