why so much henne hate?

The hate for Henne is because he only does well on Monday night games, he also light up a mediocre at best secondary in NE which proves nothing, when giving a halfway decent secondary a la today vs Houston he accomplished squat.. Yes he has heart but thats about where it stops. All you people that jumped on his bandwagon after week one need to take a hard look at how he performed today and his entire career prior. He can't throw an accurate pass to save his life..

Henne "lit up" that secondary last week...well where were the points? That is the problem with Henne. He racks up twice as much yardage as QB's normally should in a game and still manages to only put up 24 points. By contrast, Schaub put up 23 today and compared to a normal performance for him, this was average at best. But he takes advantage of his opportunities, and Henne squanders them.

Yardage means absolutely nothing in this league.

Matt Schaub had Andre Johnson drop a pass in a one on one matchup versus Nolan Carroll. Matt Schaub got hit more times than Henne today. Matt Schaub came back and found a way to put another 7 on the board even after all this. Henne choked it up when it came to actually putting points on the board, even though I am sure like nearly every other game in his career we can simply blame this on other people.

It all comes down to scoring. Henne doesn't do that, even when he racks up tons of yards.

imo it wasnt hennes fault it was the coaching staff thats to blame . the same coaching staff that had carroll on johnson when it should have been davis or smith not a rookie or 2nd year man on the best reciver in the league when i first seen carroll on johnson i told my cousin i said omg where is smith or davis ? i told him johnson will burn him if they dont get one of our 2 starters on him . and guess what ? booooooom it happen the very next play . serious where in the hell was davis or smith when all of this was going on . covering another wr i guess thats where mr. coach sparono had them we could have won this game easy, and our coach couldnt even have enough brains to do anything.

Someone make Henne believe its still preseason.

it would have definately looked better stat wise.

To quote Raheem Morris: "stats are for losers". I don't have to look at a stat sheet to judge Henne's performance today. I look at plays he made when the game was on the line, of which there were pretty much none. We know by now it takes TD's for this team to win in the red zone, and Henne utterly failed when presented with that opportunity. He had one play where Marshall scored a TD by himself and another where Marshall could have brought a pass in, but besides these two he had some ten plays in the red zone where he looked entirely incompetent and incapable of scoring a TD. And before you criticize the staff for bad playcalls, realize that Henne has been given the freedom to decide what he wants to do based on the coverage, and he has simply failed to execute on the plays that he has decided to run.

Henne isn't a difference maker. I used to be in his corner but the more I watch i am less and less confident on putting this team on his shoulders. He's a backup. Nothing more.

Should've had 2TDs and 0INTs. We should've ran the ball with Daniel Thomas more especially in the red zone where he didn't have one carry there. He had 6 YPC in his rookie debut.

You mean where he racked up a lot of yardage but still didn't play that well in the red zone? Some of us pointed this out but were just labeled "Debbie Downers".

No, the problem is that Henne isn't playing any different than he played in the preseason, but people gave too much credit to the plays he made there when they didn't realize the big picture still wasn't there. This may have been more noticeable if Henne was playing entire games.

Henne still can't execute in the red zone. How in the hell are we supposed to win with a QB that struggles in that portion of the field?

Last week he did fine in the redzone, today with the horrible protection, 2 sacks inside the 20 and the droped balls not to mention the TD by Marshall you cant fault the guy for that.. Do you expect him to block the DL then catch his own pass?

btw im ready to rub one out to your sig...:d-day:

So when a QB ignores a blitzer and takes his time getting the ball away, and his arm ends up getting hit by said blitzer, the resulting INT isn't his fault? Sorry, but it's the QB's job to take care of the ball, and I didn't notice Matt Schaub floating the ball up for grabs because he was ignoring our blitzers today.

Henne didn't play reall good today but he played good enough to win. If we can make fgs or catch perfectly thrown touchdown passes. Marshall played good but he was just as responsible for our a couple red zone issues. It is a team game and a better effort all around would have made his effot acceptable and it would have definately looked better stat wise.
I disagree. If you can't make it happen in the redzone, you didn't play well enough to win. Same problem as last year, so it wasn't all Henning.

He'll make a decent backup in this league, but that's the ceiling.

I wouldn't say that's his ceiling. He can be a mid-range starter in this league and win with a team that has a really good defense. We don't, and without replacing a lot of guys that it's going to take several drafts to do, we won't. Worse QB's have done well with a great defense behind them, but I think I speak for all Dolfans when I say we don't want to have a QB that can only win in optimal circumstances.

OMG henne lovers, the guys is not a leader. He can't make plays, heck look at other qb's in the league they make plays in the endzone. This guy stares his receiver down, thus getting it knocked down or int'd. Yes he did not play terrible today but he also did not take us to a win. A good QB SHOULD be able to take over games from time to time. Henne never does it.

Dolphins aren't going to be playoff bound for 2 more years at least. Everything about this team has only gone downhill.
