It's simple....because Ross has supposedly came out and stated he wants Tannehill...that's right!

Given the track record, Ross wanted Harbaugh...didn't get him. Ross wanted Fisher...didn't get him. Ross wanted Manning...didn't get him. Ross now wants Tannehill...you get the picture....almost like the stars had to align.

So Ross coming out and stating he wants Tannehill is a good thing for those who do not want to draft Tannehill....

Now let's go draft us some Barron so we can cover Tight Ends and do away with the likes of Aaron Hernandez, Growkonskwi and Dustin Keller.

Miami should trade down and pick up another 2nd round pick. They need to load up with players that have at least a 50% chance, historically, to be NFL starters.

1st round picks = NFL starters 63% of the time
2nd round picks = NFL starters 50+% of the time
3rd picks = NFL starters 30% of the time
4th = 16%
and so on down the line. This was from a real study of the last 10 years. 2nd round picks are pretty valuable.

The Ross wants Tannehill story was shot down.

Ross pursued Harbaugh but never offered a contract.

We went after Manning, and we had an interview but he chose money.

And we told Fisher no.

But we'll see how it plays out.

Tannehill will be the guy. Tea leaves...I want a pass rusher, but I understand the pick I guess.

Long = starter. Davis = starter. Odrick = starter. Pouncey = starter. So based on your statistics then Ireland is a great GM.

We need a long-term solution at QB. Isn't that what we've wanted for the last 13 years? Tannehill may not be ready to go right away but given his familiarity with Sherman's system, he could flourish with the Miami Dolphins for the next 8-10 years if developed properly. This is why I am leaning towards wanting Tannehill. He definitely has a lot of upside.

I think Tannehill will be the guy, UNLESS somebody wants to move up very badly and they offer the Phins a couple of nice picks that are too tempting to let go. Not many teams are going to need a QB like Tannehill, who will probably just sit and wait for a year to be groomed....most other teams can better use their first round pick on someone else.

If Ross and Miami truly want Tannehill, he'll be a Dolphin around 8:50 tonight

please tell me you're not suggesting we draft a safety at 8.

Ozzy rules!!
