Why The Dolphins Won on Sunday!!!

Hey. I'm a longtime phin fan and I always read the message boards but seldom do I contribute.....sorry.

The reason the Dolphins won, and hopefully why they will keep winning, is because they were having fun. They didn't look like they were playing like tightwads who are constantly nervous. No....they played ball and had a good time doing it. That's why they won. If you go in with the mentality of, '****. we suck anyways. Let's just have fun and throw some crazy plays at em. Because we really are better than our record.', then you will win 95% of the time. That goes for the coaches too. They stopped playing scared, took risks, and look what happened. If the team realizes that, along with the coaches, then we're in for a decent/less frustrated season.

I'm not gettin' down on any of you. I've been just as pissed during phin losses over the years but haven't been so vocal about it. But wouldn't you say I'm a little right here?
 
Yeah, I think a lot of that feeling was because we scored early. That gave them the spark they needed. The rest of the game they could play loose.

Thats a good point, Going up first might have really worked the morale.
 
they won because they were flying around all over the place.
I also agree. they did look like they were having fun. I was having
fun right with them.
 
Great post. You should post here more often.

We all spend so much time analyzing every last detail and often forget that football is a fun game to watch and play.. I agree Sporano looks like a tough guy, but like someone that allows his players to grow and have fun while doing so. Great observation.

totally true, and getting the 8th man out of the box didnt hurt either :unsure:

I agree with you 100% and I think it applies even more to our team, because they are really young
 
We did not play pro football last sunday, we played football like I used to play in the vacent lott across the street in the fifth grade. They were having fun and flying all over the field. I honestly think that if there were not a few 100,000 dollar scoreboards hanging over their heads, no body wearing aqua and orange would have kept score.
 
The reason we won is because we hit some down the field stuff early, which opened the run. Plus it was our day. I really don't think we should put too much into this game. It was a great win, but it was just that, A (singular) win.
