Look at the league history over the last ten years, there is a close to 50% probability that a first round draft choice will be out of the league within four years. Therefore, the probability that ANY selection is a bust is reasonably high.

Therefore, I suggest, you select a Ginn not because you know he is a sure thing: rather, you pick him because you feel he has the POTENTIAL to be something special.

terrible logic. just terrible :)

Another reason to pick him that I am sure has been mentioned before but I haven't seen it is; Huizenga has been very open about how serious he was about getting his rookies in camp.

Taking Quinn who saw himself as a potential number one pick with the ninth pick may very well have resulted in another holdout. Ginn, on the other hand along with his great family are going to be happy with the money he is going to get. It's a lot more than an injured prospect can usually expect. Look what happened to Michael Bush.

I think Ginn is going to play in the league for a long time.

I sure hope you're right!.. I can't wait to see this guys speed... is this the year we finally see punt and kickoff returns for the Dolphins?

Everything you've said makes so much sense. I wish others would take the time to think things thru like you did!

so terrible its done every year by people who know what they're doing......
Like Matt Jones who was never a WR.... drafted first round for the same reasons... makes sense to me. Ginn was drafted for more reasons than any other pick we've ever made.... he's dangerous just being on the field.

Ginn

I've seen the kid. He is a speedster ,as is Booker. Our offense is already quicker. Beck will be a winner. Cam has a plan and a proven track record with QB's and offense. This should be an interesting year. At least more fun to watch.

Ginn makes sense because Cam and Randy believe Beck can be nearly as good or possibly even better than Quinn in our system. That being the case get your franchise QB in the 2nd and an outstanding tallent in the first round.

So they took a guy on the gimp who wasn't going to be in camp on time anyway?

if Wayne's "you better be right" comment during the draft-day announcement (the one where Cam got booed) is any sign, he wasn't sold on Ginn.

Naturally assumed that he makes it to the field. Injury is not a problem.....just put this boot on for a month or so.....you'll be fine kid....now go out there and get em!!!

What? whats that? feeling more pain in that left foot? How can that be? We told you you would be fine? How come your not?

he might be on time for trainging camp, he might not, no one knows yet/

We've all been saying that we need speed and explosiveness on offense for years - we haven't had it for at least a decade. Slow to mid-speed receivers like McDuffie, Gadsden, Booker, Chambers, etc - all good players always missing the complimentary speed guy to give them more room to operate.

IF and its a big IF Beck turns out to be good, and Ginn can play WR, then I like the picks - no matter how good Quinn becomes. Ginn and L. Booker will make a number of big plays this year and our offense is more dangerous, more explosive.
