through out the whole game we didn't put pressure on sanchez this better not be a trend for the whole season

I noticed the same thing, we should have made Sanchez earn it more.

Dont know but whatever we did worked. Other than the long ball to edwards and clowney, oh and the ridiculout pass interference penalty on allen, we did what we needed to do on defense. Keep in mind as well that 2 of their td's were scored after our defense forced a punt only for our st to give up 1st downs on fake punts.

defense needs work because if you do not blitz you are suppose to get some int's, and we didn't get none

I think the defense was more concerned about giving up a big play on the ground. Jets did a nice job mixing up their plays.

Another problem was the fact that Porter didn't even SNIFF the QB. I watched him quite a bit and he was completely man-handled. Taylor had a couple of nice plays, but IMO, it's time to let Wake play more.

I honestly think Porter is now COMPLETELY one dimensional and very easy to nullify... JT has lost a step... I actually saw the Jests doubling Wake a few times when he was in which tells you who they thought was our best pass rusher... Unfortunately he only sees spot duty in favor of the run whiffing Porter.

I don't understand why they can't scheme to get Wake, Porter AND JT on the field in obvious passing downs more... I don't think any team could scheme to pick up all three... We have the horses we should get as creative on D as we are on O.

I agree. If Porter isn't getting any sacks, or even CLOSE to any, shouldn't he tackle a running back occasionaly? Agree in JT too. We have HUGE name OLB's who are average and maybe even below average at this point in their careers. Play Wake over Porter, at least for 1/2 the game.

i hardly noticed porter and taylor on the field myself, i can thing of maybe one time each they got some pressure, and taylor made a decent stop in the backfield. but man those guys seem to have ages 5 years overnight, seems to me that starks and kendall are the best players in our front 7 right now.

on another related note, what the **** was crowder doing in the backfield last night? i don't think we have ever seen that before

Also, I have to admit the Jets o-line should receive some credit as well...

Wake needs to play more, end of story. I know it's a very very bold statement but he is our best pass rusher. Oh and JT might not have put much oressure on the QB put he came up really big on some plays. He was nearly perfect at defending the edge, JT has been GREAT against the run this season.

i think our defense was worried about the screens.. just like the jets D
