Call me crazy but the jets WILL win

1- NY is in the same boat we were in last year, no one picked us to beat NE even though we were at home, but we played for PRIDE, and so will the jets

2- Its an in divison game on the road for NE, never an easy task regardless of schedule

3- Divison season series are split nearly 50% of the time, and NE won the first meeting

4- The jets are at home, and thats huge for a struggleing team, they played NE tough on the road, and pulled off a win vs oakland today

5- Ty Law, yes you heard me TY LAW, will help shut down the new england offense, the NY defense has played well this year despite a lackluster offense

6- Curtis Martin has been playing injured all year, I cant help but think an injury free back up RB will be more effective than a RB w a bad leg

7-The Jets will play for herm edwards, the players love him, and they dont want their bad play to result in the fireing of their beloved coach

8- THEY MUST PROTECT THIS HOUSE

9- EDIT: Added by popular demand, its a Monday night game, their one chance to prove to the world they are better than their record shows

Let's beat the **** out of them this week first. They're gonna play us hard as hell just as they did at the end of 03 when it didn't matter.

yep as I said they are playing for pride now

I expect them to at least give us a fight early, I think we will win easily but like I said divison games are never a sure thing

I'll tell you the same thing that Saban is telling the dolphins right now. The playoffs don't matter, win/loss record doesn't matter, the only thing that matters is the next game and doing the job they are supposed to do. yeah, it is fun to think about all these senerios, and to dream about a playoff chance (something NOBODY thought was possible at the beginning of the season) but all that is a moot point until we beat the jets next sunday.

I like your logic on all but this point that you made ... the Jets playing at home for the rest of the season will put them at a disadvantage. By any chance did you even watch the Jets/Oakland game today? The fans BOOO'd when Herm Edwards challenged a call and successfully got it overturned. Jets fans WANT the team to lose the rest of the season because they want Reggie Bush. So unless the team wants to prove something to their fans and they enjoy hearing BOOO's on every successful play ... count them at a homefield disadvantage.

I hope tampa hurts them mentally and physically....but not physcially enough so that they cant play, just enough they are playing but very ineffective :D I dont want any excuses when we win the division

Gee can you tell I like our chances

I'm actually very worried about the Jets game and our ability to win it. This team is not good enough to take anyone lightly and if they do next week we will be stunned and any chance at post season will be doomed.

Beating us at home and knocking us out of all possibility of a playoff run would almost make the Jets season. We need to be VERY focused and play solid football...this is, after all...the Jets. They always play us well.

I would literally not come out of my room for a month if we lose to the jets and then they beat NE.....and we finish 1 game out.....id die

Oh yeah? Well just to add to the ugly thought....just imagine if we were swept by the Jets when they had one of the worst seasons on record. Can you imagine the abuse we would have to deal with from the Jets faithful?

No thanks....lets just spank them profusely...in our house. Then we can cheer like hell for them the next week when the upset the Pats :D
