Tenacious D/O
The endless pursuit of domination
I've been reading these forums for a long time and I've recently decided to sign up and start posting/ making threads.
I know I may get bashed for creating another thread, but I would like to know why everyone is so obsessed with Vick. I know many people here are very opposed to having him on our team, and I know many have fallen in love with him. My question is, those of you who really like Vick, why do you like him? Is it because his brother is a popular quarterback on the falcons and his play is explosive and entertaining? I'm no football genius, but I don't feel that even Micheal is a great qb. He's injured often and it seems as though his backups perform well enough in his absence. Why wouldn't someone prefer a quarterback like Culpepper or Mcnabb who is both fast and accurate vs just having a glorified running back taking snaps. Even someone like Vince Young seems lightyears ahead of Micheal in terms of quarterback/ running back hybrid type players. In my opinion, I'd rather have a quarterback who can throw the ball accurate AND have the ability to run when needed or be elusive in the pocket. I'm just glad we have Culpepper and I don't think Vick is worth the trouble with his off field issues and his lack of true quarterbacking abilities.
