As of Week 3, among QB's with at least 10 red zone pass attempts, Tua Tagovailoa is 4th in the entire NFL in red zone completion percentage!! behind only Patrick Mahomes, Aaron Rodgers, and Carson Wentz!! All three of those QB's (Mahomes, Rodgers, Wentz) have led their teams to a Super Bowl win!!!

Tua may not have the greatest cannon of an arm, like Allen. Tua is not the best in the NFL inbetween the 20's. But what Tua DOES have, is that he is elite at mid to short throws with his incredible pinpoint accurate passing. Which makes him a beast in the red zone, because the field is shortened. The red zone plays into Tua's strengths perfectly.

Meanwhile, Josh Allen is showing he is not as clutch as Tua in close games. Yesterday, he went 2 of 4 in the red zone, while Tua was 3 of 3. You can have all the time of possession and empty yards, but you have to convert in the red zone. Under Josh Allen, the Bills have lost a bunch of games when the score is decided by less than 3 points.

Now that Tua has some weapons... we are seeing Tua use his strengths to the fullest. It's incredible.

LETS GO DOLPHINS!!!!

I'll say this. In a tight game in 4Q, I'd rather have TT

I admit I haven't seen Allen play except Dolphins and featured games like playoffs. I have always hoped he peaked, get figured out and have accuracy issues. But he really is good. He got better. I love his moxie, I didn't know anything about that part of his game. It's like that Garner Minchew thing (was?). Fan friendly. It was my biggest take from the game. Allen and Tua are going to have some awesome games to come. He's scary good though.

this is the kind of thing that gives regular fans who support tua as QB of the dolphins a bad name.

it's going to take a lot of elite play out of our guy before anybody is going to think he is equal to or better than josh allen.

I think both quarterbacks have got good heads on their shoulders and generally good personalities. When I see Allen out there, I can't help thinking that guy runs his offense like a general. He knows everything he's doing. He knows when a mistake is made. You can immediately see when he flubs up.

I would not say he is not clutch. **** happens. That guy expects to win. It wasn't meant to be for him yesterday.

Tua, for his part, has the knack for getting the football into the end zone. When he gets within, dare I say it, the 40 yard line, he is looking towards the end zone. Tua offenses aren't about field goals. If he sees a shot into the end zone, he takes it. And he makes it.

Allen will do all that scoring too, but his on-the-field decision making is probably going to be a bit better.

Stop it. Tua is not in Allen's league right now.

It's far more interesting though how fast the gap is closing between Burrow/Herbert and Tua.

Herbs just lost his elite LT for the season and as everybody knows the Bengals Oline is also a cluster****, so I await the "yeah but they have no protection unlike Tua" ironic excuses later in the season eagerly.

Allen is an amazing talent. Incredible strength, toughness, efficient, has worked to overcome his early weaknesses, an outstanding athlete.

He also has a proven track record of wilting under pressure.

Cmon man - don't do it - he's not on that level yet. I don't know how much Allen you have seen but being from upsate NY and seeing a lot of Allen - he's the real deal. He can extend plays like Big Ben in his prime - he can do things that Tua just can't. Why can't we stick with Tua is getting better all the time and can take this team to the promise land rather than trying to make him better than someone.

All I want out of Tua is to run the offense he's supposed to run. If he does that, we can win games. Lots of them.

I love stats as much as anybody. Really love them. And great stats would be a very nice bonus. But just keep winning. That's all I really care about.

Not yet, in this universe.

Is he more accurate? Maybe. Does he have better anticipation? Probably. Is he better in crunch time? Absolutely. But overall, not yet IMO.

He had the best QB performance on the field yesterday, though.

Tua is doing well.

If you watched both guys in black and white with logo-less helmets for the last 3 weeks, you would honestly take Tua over Allen?

Let's not be crazy.

The one thing I will say is: I wonder if this affects Allen short/med/long term. He really looked devasted and a little broken after the game. Will he wilt, or come back wanting to hurt anything in his path? What will happen in the next close game?

Yup, that's it.

Now that Herbert/Tua and Burrow are on a level playing field...... the gap has all but closed for me.

Herbert's 4th quarter blunders and inability to close games will come back against him if they don't make the playoffs this year.

Burrow, that Superbowl bought him a couple seasons.

But right now.....right now..... if you had to choose between the 3.....right now...... there's no question In my mind.

Now that Tua is putting up stats, when he continues his top 8 QB rankings in all categories the "Dolphins should have drafted Herbert" nonsense will stop.

I said it before and I will say it again. This was the new age Marino/Kelly /Elway class.

We can stop talking about which ones better and start watching 3 great QBS compete for years to come.
