WHY use up our timeouts???

The first TO was called with them on the 30 with 1:45 left, after that they had 3 plays that stayed in bounds which even with the timeouts took a minute off the clock. At the very least we made it easier for them.

Also by us calling timeouts, Carolina dd not have to use their last time out...they were down to ONE timeout and then none. So we helped them out. We were up by THREE, so let the clock run for them and force then to hit a FG....at least it doesn't get you beat in regulation.

this was the begining of the end for me and this coaching staff. First half was that terrible Defensive call that gave them 20 yards and let them get out of downs for the easy 3 points right be fore the half. Then using the timeouts which pretty much allowed them to score the GW td without any effort was just dumb beyond belief. I cant believe a NFL head coach cant manage the clock after this many years in the pros. its like our gatorade is laced with stupid pills or something and these guys just cant stop drinking it. Y is it that almost every player and coach that comes down here just becomes dumber the second their foot steps off the plane.

Then we go into overtime with the momentum all going Carolina's way. Brilliant.

Just, no. Going to overtime allows for three key things:
1) Rest for the defense
2) 50% chance of long field for Carolina
3) 50% chance of starting with possession

Using all the timeouts before we have the ball? You know this offense. Do you really trust them to march down the field in under a minute with no timeouts??

I didn't think so.

Did Carolina want us to get the ball back with time at the end of the game? No. Well having no time on the clock can't be good for both teams.
Whether I trust the offense or not, they're going to have to score again in that game for us to win. Some guys are pretending that if we hadn't called a timeout, Carolina doesn't score a TD. They had plenty of time to score a TD because they didn't want to give us any clock at the end of the game.

Going into OT after a Carolina FG means they would have scored 20 unanswered points on us and they'd have ALL the momentum. I honestly don't understand why any of you think that's a preferable scenario.
