Why Wasn't James Places on IR?

This staff continues to show its ineptness. Whether it's cutting Jonas Gray before Fake Ricky Williams or constantly putting bad players on the field. I'm sure they could have used Juwan James' roster spot for something better than Fox and Dallas Thomas....unless this was their whole plan all along to assist with the tanking...
 
They can't get lineman better than Dallas Thomas or Billy Turner in an entire offseason. What makes you think they'd find someone better during the season?
 
No disputing the whole lot of them are terrible talent evaluators but if James doesn't play Sunday that means the coaches can't make football decisions as well.
 
So he can come back for our playoff run.
 
At this point- I believe they said they wanted him to get some game time experience or something like that before the offseason...

But before- I believe they thought he wouldn't be out for quite as long, and could come back and "help us win"
 
I think they wanted to keep him on the practice schedule regimen as much as he could rather than just standing around clapping.

Yeah I read last week that they wanted him to continue to practice and get better.
