Alot of fans including myself are wondering why the dolphins didn't pick a OLB when players like matthews and brown were available. Personally I thought Orakpo would have been a perfect fit after watching him play 10 times this season but obviously a trade up wasn't going to happen. After we passed on some others who were available like Barwain I started to question the FO. All I can come up with is that the FO is VERY HIGH on one of our OLBs, likely Wake or maybe even Quiten Moses. One of these guys is going to be an absolute STUD.

JP, Wake, Roth, Anderson, Walden and potentially JT.

We aren't as bad as some made it seem.

We didn't get one because we are fine. Everything the Trifecta does is right, because they know Football and you don't.

We have some good talent at OLB, especially when you compare it to what we had at CB before the draft.

Larry English was gone!

Still pisses me off!

Ireland didn't wanna reach for players and noone fell to us. With Porter on one side and Roth/Wake on the other I think we are fine. But more importantly I think the Trifecta thinks we are fine. And if not they will do all they can to get a guy in FA. And if that doesn't happen then next year I bet we draft a great OLB. It takes years to build a great team and I love the one we have....except Pat White.

Seems to me they think this Wake guy is going to be as good/better than anyone coming from college.

I think we would have taken Everette Brown. Which is why The Panthers traded up to get him one pick ahead of us.

We're so concerned about OLB, but ILB is possibly in worse shape. At least we have wildcards with potential on the outside. Inside we have Crowder (who despite our commitment to him has very debatable abilities) and Akin (meh). Nothing promising is behind them.

I'm with you man on the ILB situation. I was really hoping Laurinaitis or Maualuga would have fallen to us with our first pick in the 2nd round, but alas it wasn't meant to be. I will be interested to see what Pat White can do.

we already have wake signed which is like a 1st round LB. i dont think people give this guy enough credit since he was in the CFL. just because he had a stint there doesnt mean he belongs there.

and then there's all this talk about jason taylor possibly playing for us again.

I was far more concerned with the inside.

I think we'll add sacks this year through Langford, Merling, Wake and JT.

We are fairly thin at ILB though and I think we're lacking talent somewhat too. We could've made a big splash this year as there were two very good ILBs available at the top of round 2. I like both our second round picks but if we could've added another somehow, package our third and give up something from next year, Davis, Maualuga, Smith and White would have been an unbelievable first day haul.

I know that's not what we're about and we're a stockpiling team now but when they guys you need are there, it's equally good to pull the trigger IMO. Next year's first day may be full of QBs, WRs, CBs and DEs for all we know.
