I thought these guys were signed because they were special-teams studs, which has been the Fins' glaring weakness all season long.

Oh well.... I guess hindsight is 20-20

Davis is a very poor mans Roy Willaims and Grigsby sucked as a FB.

I was bugged by the Keith Davis cut, I always thought he was a good special teamer. Really think he should have been kept.

Davis returned to the cowboys I believe and is their ST captain...quite puzzled by that move myself.

Yeah I always thought that is why Davis was signed to be a special teams ace in the first place. I didnt know he was the Cowboys special teams captain though. Damn that sucks.:(

Grigsby was flat out AWFUL as a FB. He sucked before we signed him, he sucked when we signed him, and he still sucks after we cut him. BOOMER GRIGSBY SUCKS!

Then why was he signed, made it all the way through a tough camp and was the starting FB on opening day?

The whole Keith Davis thing sort of reeks of some kind of inside dealing between Jones and Parcells. Maybe it was part of the trade that sent Akin and Fasano for a 4th - "ok, but we want Davis back."

Just a thought. He's got to better than many of the bums we've got on ST.

yeah i think we may have gotten the better end of that deal because we had parcells. There is no way any other team would have traded two guys like that for a 4th round pick

wouldn't doubt it.

I don't know, ask the coaching staff. If Reagan Mauia could've caught passes and played Special Teams he would've stuck around and not Grigsby. So, it was pretty much a battle of "who sucks less." But when I saw Grigsby getting knocked on his butt, and getting blown up by Jet defenders you knew his time in Miami was short.
