I can understand not picking up Leonard Davis (well actually I can't, there's no downside) but why haven't we signed Ohara - a pro bowl center???!! All that bull about cohesion and chemistry is just that - bull. Move Carey back to RT, Move Pouncey to RG and THEN establish cohesion.

We're getting too close to the season. We need to get some talent infused into the line - especially the right side!

Come on...
 
He never played for the Cowboys, that's a no no.
 
Cuz We have Pouncey who we are trying to develop into a Pro Bowl Center for us for much longer than a year or two.
 
Because O'Hara does not want to play here or better yet, his wife does not want to move here.
 
The Dolphins did what they could to entice O'Hara to sign. The last thing I read was that he was supposed to go home (wherever the hell that is) and think about his next move. I honestly haven't heard anything about it since.

Leave it to the chicken littles to assume the Dolphins don't want him or give enough of a **** to sign him. They can't exactly kidnap the guy and force him to sign a contract.
 
I would love to sign O'Hara and have him try out as Right Guard. Sure hes used to playing Center, but Im sure he could make a transition to RG better than Carey can make from RT to RG..

Which is better...

Pouncey C, Ohara RG, Carey RT

or

Pouncey C, Carey RG, Columbo RT.

Plus buys us a year or two to use our first round pick on RG.. Since we will be using that first rounder on a LG this year.. I don't feel like trading up to grab a RG too..
 
so his hometown team who he's played for many years, won a super bowl, and started 2 pro bowls doesnt even want him, but for some reason you do? explain...
 
Ireland is holding some money out of the kitty for some reason. Maybe because he overspent for second tier talents and injured former players like Grove, Smiley plus Wilson and other in FA in years past and was stuck playing them

As long as Mangold,Birk,Mack,old man Saturday, and the better Pouncey brother are in the afc...good luck with the pro bowl
 
It is early and other players are going to be out there soon. Teams still have to but 25-30 players and we might be waiting for one of them. Being a Gator fan I'm not thrilled with Pouncey being our center. He is a natural RG who moved over at least partly I think because his brother is a center and he wants "Center money". His stance is still a RG one which is why he has problems with snapping the ball.
