This is so curious, the Bills releasing Langston Walker.

Why wouldn't they trade him for something? I would have loved to see the Phins give a late-round draft pick for him. A quality pick up and would fill a need for backup LT and RT.

As it is, someone will snap him up now. Just won't be the Phins.

cus they probly think Gardner will be ready by next year anyways. CUS WE DRAFT BETTER THAN THE REST!!

EX: Sean Smith 61st pick in the draft

I am not sure who Langston Walker is, but I have heard of the Bills and their incredible o-line.

I guess the simple reason is....he isn't worth the pick. You would have to wonder why he couldn't stick with two lousy teams...the Raiders and the Bills.

We have a front office that gives up one sixth round pick for two solid starters no way they give up a seventh for a guy who will never see the field.

Walker was due a base salary of 3 million. A backup is not worth that type of money.
If we would have traded for him we would have had to take on that salary. He also had 2 more years on his contract in which his cap hit would have only increased.

Better to not have him then to have that much money tied up in him.

Trading a draft pick for anyone just a few days before the season is a dumb move imo. They will not be ready for the opener, and you dont even know what you are getting. See how brilliant Oakland is.

Bingo. Contract was it. And maybe "entitlement shape" too. Thanks guys.
