do some people dislike the way the draft is progression of our draft?Look, last year MIA draftED from the inside out,to build the treches and the core of our team, offense and defense.By doing that,MIA is allowed to draft talent.Like the Hartline and White picks.

I will admitt,I hope we didnt draft White for only the WC,cause if we did we just wasted a valuable pick, but MIA was the most talentless team last year in the playoffs.MIA needs talent in the worst way.Sure,we have solid players, but solid can only take you so far.Talent is key in championship teams, and if MIA ever wanted to achieve it they'd HAD to go out and get TALENT.Patrick Turner(6'5",225),Sean Smith(6'4",215),Chris Clemsons(6'2",210) & Pat White(6'1",199)...Our talent level just shot up with those, and thats not EVEN including Vontae.

MIA needed talent, and they got some now.get another draft like this, and MIAis SB bound in twenty-ten.

Pat White could be a shade of Randle El,but better passing mechanics.

Because the 3-4 players selected last year didn't completely rebuild the trenches. we could still use some upgrades and depth. Jason Ferguson is what, 35? and without a stout NT the 3-4 defense doesn't work.

Pat White was a bit of a reach at #44 overall, when you dont even know how to get him on the field... qb? wr? rb? He's an extremely talented guy, but he's a luxury pick, not for a team with as many needs as Miami. With some solid front-7 players still on the board, I feel the pick could have been better spent.

Then we followed that up by taking not 1 but TWO wrs. I dont understand that either.

Its not a terrible draft so far but it would have been better IMO if we would have gone OLB/DE at the #44 spot, and taken a chance on a NT in one of the 2 WR spots.

How exactly do you know that they don't know how to get Pat White on the field? They must have some sort of a plan for him.

I love how people here are so much smarter than BILL PARCELLS!

last year we went safe(boring draft) but solid

this year we went fun people (exciting, play makers, and weapons) you can buy a jersey from these guys and people wont ask "who is that?"

there has been some HHHUUMMM picks like the TE and other WR OSU but still weapons are great to have

Look at your own mock draft. Now we could've had your top pick in the 2nd round. DO I absolutey hate our draft? only the parts where we reached.

Because Jeff Ireland stated yesterday that Pat White was NOT drafted to play WR, he was drafted to play QB. Do you think we're gonna put 2 QBs on the field at the same time??
Which means he either will eventually start in place of Henne who was also taken with a 2nd rounder, or will only come in for the wildcat which means he might see 8 snaps per game. Is 8 snaps worth that high a pick? I'm not sure about that.

Like I said, IN MY OPINION the pick could have been better spent.

So what happens if he becomes a better QB than Henne.

I agree the pick may have been a little early but maybe they feel they found someone who is better. Maybe Ireland is telling us he won't be a receiver for a reason. They are not obligated to tell anyone the truth. Maybe they feel they actually have a Hines Ward type. He is a Dolphin now and I'm not going to bash the pick or pretend I know all the answers, I'll wait and see instead.

Every Dolphins draft is the worst draft ever on here.

Exactly. It has been a little ridiculous here today with people freaking out before they even see any of these picks on the field.

Have some patience people!

Sure Pat White may have been a reach but remember how they got this pick. It came from the Jason Taylor trade when "JT" wasn't worth a whole lot and Washington was was supposed to be a playoff contender. That being said, I still think that White's role in the offense will be different from what he would be if he was just simply a straight forward QB. It's good strategy because Rex Ryan's the coach of the New York right now and the way he was able to contain the Wildcat (twice) last season was by blitzing. Just as teams are beginning to gameplan for how to stop the Wildcat next year, White adds another dimension and something extra to think about...even if he is a second rounder.

Whats the point in lying/deception AFTER the draft?

You don't think our divsional opponents would be interested in how we are going to use a weapon like Pat White. Why tell everyone your intentions.

ya, maybe... but saying "pats gonna play some wr" wouldn't really give much away. Ireland's interview sure sounded to me like Pat is GONNA compete at QB, and NOT gonna play WR. I guess we'll find out.
