Why do so many fellow dolfin fans seem to think we can get by with a average RB? The lack of a running has been killing us for years....especially in the winter months!!! Only a few football fans can name Dan Marino's year by year rushers.(please don't) I hear Scott Linehans offense can make good use of the old "RB by commitee" bull, but how many SB's have the Vikings won? Zero!! And the Fins haven't won one since we had a dominating running game 30 years ago. You see what I'm getting at? Second rate running backs/game = 2nd rate team. I'm all for beefing up the passing offense but it will fail without runnig dominance. It's been proven here for many years now and I'm tired of it.:shakeno:

And which fans are these exactly? The majority on here want either Benson, Brown or Caddy at #2. Where are you getting your "many" from??

How many years have the Vikings had a great offensive plan/offense? Every year. Linehan isnt at fault for the team's crappy defense and overall performance, only offense.

And can we get by(in the long run) with an average QB?

New England won 2 of the last 4 SB's without a dominating running game and they play in cold weather.

then why did Saban hire him, right?

if you don't like the type of offense he runs, tough, it is what it is

the Pats have won 3 of the last 4 SBs. did they have a franchise RB? NOPE! Did the Bucs? NOPE! the last few SBs have been won with teamwork and defense.

Pats won twice with antowain smith

yeah, the won with antwain averaging 900 yds per season while sharing time with Kevin Faulk. I was there I saw it. Bad argument.

It's not about running or passing it's about schemes, preparedness, and timely playmaking. The Pats won with Dillon but they won with Smith too. They just all knew what they were supposed to do and made the plays.

Draft the player who's willing to play within the scheme and plan. If Saban think's it's a RB then so be it.

P.S. Ricky won the rushing title and we missed the playoffs. Why? Bad DW schemes/playcalling.

Who was the RB for the Eagles this year?

Did the Eagles win the SB??? Did they even come close??? Did the NFC suck??? Did they totally get blown off the field when they played a good AFC team???(Pittsburgh Steelers look it up) BTW Michael Westbrook is better than any back we have.

Antwain Smith is not a franchise back hence why I said tjhey won 2 of the last 4 without one. You don't consider Corey Dillon a franchise back? I'd gladly take him!!
