Heres my take on all this...What I dont understand is all the Ireland and Ross bashing heres why.

1. Pretty much everyone on here agreed that if Mia didnt go after Flynn hard and not land him then they would accept it because "NOBODY KNOWS HIM BETTER THAN PHILBIN" so in essence if Philbin didnt want him then thats a good thing cause maybe hes just hype based off the 2 games. Now that we dont have him its the end of the world and theirs a power struggle in the org ect ect then all these stupid ass tweets come put and none of them have any substance just stuff to get people going and obv its working lol !

2. Whats all this talk that were swinging and missing?? Manning was never really an opt because he wanted to go to a team where hes comfortable and has a shot at making a run. In Denver hes boys with Elway and Tenn he grew up there and is a legend if he goes to San Fran well theyd be instant superbowl conteders. Hes alot more comfortable with those 3 teams and still has a great shot a making a run.

3. Now onto Mr Hype RG3 why the hell would mia even think about trading the farm for him with other holes they need to fill thats just stupid wash way over paid esp when Tannehill will be a better pro as I posted on here a while back thats my opinion and alot disagree which is fine but most get caught up in all the Hype. Tannehills got year and a half of football under his belt at the QB position and did extremely well considering 30 tds almost 4,000 yrds a bowl win and smacked RG3 this year (side note RG3 lost to every good qb he played this year actually got blown out!) but imagine how much better Tanney is going to get with more reps people forget that HUGE UPSIDE!.

4. I live in Pittsburgh and we have one of the best franchises of all time and guess what???? THEY NEVER SIGN A BIG FREE AGENT EVER!!! They build through the draft every year Just like GREENBAY hmmm and we happen to have their coaching staff. Now granted they got their qb in Rothlisberger but it seems like mia is following that same path cause will get ours this year in Tannehill (fingers crossed). Rothlisberger was a reciever turned QB and played at weak ass Miami of Ohio but was big and athletic with huge upside just like Tanney. Hows that working for PGH???

5. DID I MENTION THAT CHAMPIONSHIP TEAMS BUILD THROUGH THE DRAFT!!!!!!!!!

Final note: DID I MENTION THAT CHAMPIONSHIP TEAMS BUILD THROUGH THE DRAFT!!!!!

Two reasons why everyone is acting like our front office screwed everything up:

1. It does look like they've screwed everything up.
2. They've screwed everything up in years past.

Give 'em until the draft, then crucify 'em.

So many people, especially posters on this forum, forget that most of the good teams in the NFL dont get their starters through free agency. The last 3 super bowl winners - Green Bay, Pitt, and New Yory - are teams that dont sign many free agents.

For the most part, I agree with your post

I am totally a firm believe in the drafy. I think Seattle way overpaid for Flynn, and I wouldn't have signed him to a 8 mil contract even after 2 games. Funny how football works. I'd love to have 2 good weeks of work then ask for a huge raise.

I think its the fact we bring in people, and there is a perception that no-one wants to be here. Irelands name keeps coming up.

He should've gone with Sparano.

I think Ireland should have left also . . . but I'll take him over Peterson, which would have been the guy had we gotten rid of Ireland. Jeff hasn't been as bad as people are shredding him for, but he hasn't been great either. He needs a good offseason and right now it isn't going as good as he had hoped. Hopefully he can rally and finish with a strong draft.

The front office has screwed things up no doubt, but not the things everyone around here keep crying about.

They screwed up with the head coach. Philbin is the wrong guy, they should have hired McCoy and kept Nolan or promoted Nolan. Changing the offense completely and changing the defense completley in one off season means that the fins will be handicapped all year long.

Ross should just count his sheckles and get out of dodge before it gets any worst. At the very least he needs to get a publicity person to coach him on how to speak like an NFL owner who knows what he is doing.

Attention Ross - When you play poker you keep the cards facing you, you don't show everyone your cards and broadcast every single move you intend to make. Dumb@!

I agree but nobody wants to be here cause were not gonna get suckered into paying out the ass for a free agent when other teams throw tons of money at these guys! Thats why they leave cause Irelend wants to pay them for what their worth not based off hype and pressure from fans....Just like you said with Flynn!

Because the FO has been a bunch of inept & bumbling fools for more than a decade. Different ppl, same result. Our once proud franchise now lies in ruins thanks the various & sundry clowns that have been running things in Davie. to Do you really want to go down nightmare lane?

If we drafted as well as those teams, I guess I wouldn't have a problem with their FA mess ups. Just look at our drafts for the last 5+ years, other than a few of the first rounders, what do we have left? And as for FA . . . . if you are going to build via the draft, then do just that and don't pretend that you are going to be active in the FA by giving numerous FA's free mini vacations to Miami. Have we heard about any big FA visits to GB, PIT, Giants? That's why people are upset. Either do one or the other, don't try to do both and then claim you're doing only one.

off the top of my head; Jake Long, Sean Smith, Vontae Davis, Reshad Jones, Chris Clemons, Odrick, Pouncy, Hartline, Clay, Nolan Carroll, Jimmy Wilson, Clyde Gates, Langford was good but more suited for 3=4 in our opinion i think.

Most importantly our 1st round picks have been good, no more Jason Allens and Ted Ginns with this regime

right great teams build through the draft...how have irelands drafts been going...

I think there are two issues: the FO gets hit with the errors that the owner has made, and that the drafts have produced singles and doubles, but no home runs. The latter only compounds the problem since we are not bad enough to have a top draft pick, but we are not good enough to win the division either.

This.

Also, their #1 target this offseason was QB upgrade. And whether you like Manning or not, like Flynn or not...the bottomline is they have not done what they said they would do. Ok, so maybe they didnt like Flynn as much as originally perceived. Fine. But Peyton wanting nothing to do with this organization and that is pretty telling.

Now we're down to what plan? Plan F?

I am glad they are not wasting money on questionable players. You must build through the draft to form a championship caliber team.
