We'll also continue to call a host of other plays that never work - there's about a handful. I can't bother to name them now but you know which ones I mean.

If I was a reporter or journalist I would ask Gase during a press conference: “why don’t you call plays past the sticks, I’m pretty sure it’s legal”

I believe it's an attempt to make our sieve of a line less of a factor. Not saying it works but that's the general idea of the short passing game. If all the routes are short, the qb can get the ball out faster, since he is running for his life two seconds after snap without play action

The screen pass needs to stay in college football. It rarely ever works for any team.

Continuing to call this play shows what's wrong with this team. You can't run it successfully. You know it. We know it. The other teams know is. We haven't been able to do it with these receivers. STOP DOING IT! Play to your strengths. This isn't working, but you keep trying it over and over again.
