We use this formation way too much. Sparano is full of crap if he says our offense doesn't hinge on it. I'm sick of hearing it, seeing it and winning or losing by it. Time for something different. We are about to lose a dimension.

Dude, of all the things you can focus on you choose the Wildcat formation? Did we run a play out of that formation that did not gain or lost yardage?

the wildcat FORMATION is just another formation.. if we would use the I-formation so much nobody would complain.. don't blow it out of porpotion just because we lost.. yes I hate it too that we lost so close and that we had no defense and a bad last call but not blame it on one formation..

I remember a run by Ronnie out of the wildcat that went for no gain and possibly lost a half yard - but that's it. The wildcat has been way too successful to knock it up to this point. The only thing I'd be worried about is an eventual over-reliance on it after other teams start to catch on and are able to defend it better. But there's just so many possibilities that the formation provides; the first TD pass play was a thing of beauty.

Thats funny because down the strech of the game I didn't think we used it enough.

We lost because the defense completely **** the bed about 4 or 5 times on the final drive of the fourth quarter.
Sure, we did not run the ball well enough, but we had that game won with 1:45 left. The defense needs to stop the Texans there.

Our last drive, we should have used it more, thus allowing more time to run off the clock.

Yea, how about 4th and what 1 inch. Ronnie got atleast 4 or 5 yards out of that all day. Why not give it a shot? I thought it worked well early and then we bailed on it.

What I'm saying is that we are relying to heavily on it when we don't need to. We have a very accurate QB with Penny and a very good RB with Ronnie Brown. We don't need to use it unless we have our backs against the wall. I don't like how it is creeping in and becoming standard playbook material. It loses it's effectiveness then.

And saying that it is a stretch is bull...people on here talking about Playoffs, saying Ronnie Brown is going to the Hall of Fame and talking about spending two 1st round draft picks on Roy Williams and you call what I said about the Wildcat "a stretch"?

Last I checked, we scored a long touchdown in the Wildcat formation.

Not sure how that translates into something negative to take away from this game.

why isnt this thread deleted already????? are u kidding me??? have u watched any games??? this must be wandstedt that started this thread....makes a ton of sense to scrap our most productive offensive set

I'm not mad at the usage of the Wildcat. The wildcat is good for a change of pace. What I'm mad at is we didn't give Ronnie touches early in a traditional formation, which allows the success of the Wildcat later.
