with all the options that this gives us, its hard to see any team to come up with a solution anytime soon.. from watching the anatomy of the wildcat formation i have seen a formation that is going to hurt opposing teams for weeks to come. jake long at t.e., anthony fasano at l.t. and now with our new SKINNY GIANT playing where david martin was it is hard to believe we wont dominate the chargers. i mean there is so many formula's that we can use... ted ginn at quarterback with chad pennington in motion, ted ginn with ronnie in motion, and then if a team figures out the idea miami could motion for chad in the iformation toss it back to him and throw it deep... whatever the cause is, miami has every team in the league scared about this formation. I guarentee you that the chargers will be so tired from all the preporation that we will end up beating them. we have them, along with all of our opponents coming on their toes... now all we need is for them to fall forward.
thank god for david lee!

Well I'm as excited as anyone about the possibilities - would love to see the Phins ride this formation into the playoffs and beyond.

BUT

This is the NFL. It won't take long for teams to figure out how to defend it, and quite frankly I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't use it at all for a few weeks. All it would take is one or two bone-headed mistakes in the formation (e.g. Ronnie fumbling a snap, messed up exchanges/tosses, etc.) for people to start questioning it. Didn't Cam get a ton of flack last year for trying to do some sort of trick play at the goalline? We're lucky Wildcat worked as well as it did last week 'cause we all got to see a SHOW because of it. But it could just as easily have died as quickly as it started.

They figgured out a way to stop it in the NCAA, I figgure the pros have probably got a handle on it. We simply hit the Pats with so many jaw shots that they were dead and flat footed. The Wildcat was a back breaker. It's a college formation. Maybe we should run the Wing T. That would probably bamboozle 'em too.

It was a great win....I was wondering how long it would take to call for a Wilcat Offense.

The Wildcat formation does give the offense many options but it still comes down to the offensive line and tight ends making their blocks. With the wider than wide splits, there are plenty of space for an attacking defense to slip through and disrupt the play before it can get started.

really teams have learned how to stop it in college? lol.. no they havent, thats a wing t.. the wildcat offense is totally different, it has jake long vernon carey and indukwe on the right side of the line along with another t.e. and a running back.. if teams go heavy on that side they are going to get burned on the left side, if they dont then miami runs on them all day.. we have the perfect players for this to work.. and im not saying all the time, im talking about mixing it in... team dont know how to beat it, thats why you continue to see the best offenses in college using it. oh wait, since arkansas doesnt have david lee anymore no body uses it.. lol

everyone has to chill a bit now on the whole "Wildcat" stuff.... its not everydown this stuff is out there.... plus the best thing about it consistantly, is having Ronnie and Ricky back there, with motion, different options in that aspect..... i hope we start doing more stuff like that with Chad behind center... thats what i liked seeing

but yes, it is fun so definitely enjoy the "Wildcat" style... but its not every down... we still gotta play football too

And Arkansas has won how many National Championships? Right. I didn't think so.

Teams don't know how to beat it......The Best offenses in college use it.......Right. Ok. I'm done taling to you about this.

teams like the arkansas razorbacks, and the gators have run this offense successful for years.. thats why they are top teams.. plus the nfl is another story.. better players, better athletes... why wouldnt we be successful using this formation 4-5 times a game? we get stuffed doing other plays, why not continue something that works? we have the team that can play this kind of formation and be successful.. We need our best players on the field, and this formation helps that.. plus with ricky, ted, or ronnie running full speed before getting the handoff they are able to see the field and then react to a block.. dont tell me that this offense doesnt work! I didnt say make it our base formation. I said use a formation that works.. not everyplay, use it sparingly.. why not? success speaks for itself!
