nah maybe not trusting it enough in the fourth quarter seems to dissappear in the second half if u ask me

OT: Is anyone else interested in seeing Ronnie Brown as the center while Samson Satele takes the direct snap? :D

well if you do it 3 times a game well i think its going to be ineffective. if you do it to much its over kill. i think we are doing it just fine the right a mount. the only problem i have with it is ronnie should throw a few more out of it. i think if we did that against bmore than we would of won. when they saw that formation it was run up the middle stopped but when they were being so agressive they shouod of thrown it once. anyways no its working and you need to run it enough to make it work and than again not to much.

I would like to see Mimai get through the next 4-5 games without using the Wildcat for big plays. I do not want to see any new wrinkles unless they are designed for short yardage pick-up. It can still be used for the short yardage pick-ups..

Miami needs to keep the Wildcat active to keep the teams game planning for it. But Miami needs to hold off a few of the formations for a while. So far the best is Ricky in motion like he is on fire. That play is a game buster when Ronnie gets the right read off.

Best used when...
* Ronnie fakes to Ricky and rolls left option to pass or run.
* Ronnie faske to Ricky and follows his block wide right.
* Ronnie hands off to Ricky when OLB's are tight on the Tackles.
* Ronnie busts it up the gut off of line hole reads.
* Ronnie hands off to Ricky and Ricky toss-back/end arounds with another player.
* Ginn OR Bess takes Ronnie's position...not used as of yet, but I think it will be in the playoff push. Ginn can fling the rock and has the Speed for the Roll out Left.

That play has some serious game planning around and can be a game changer with the RIGHT READS. If the defense make the wrong read at the snap...off to the races.

I love the WILDCAT!!!

GO DOLPHINS!!!

I would think a healthy mix into general play is good, maybe 10% overall?

Trick is, you need to vary when it is used (ie. which # down), where on the field (ie. not just goal line) and how it is used (ie. Ronnie run, Ronnie hand-off, Ronnie pass).

Overall it seems like it is working but I don't see enough games to know for sure.

I voted no. We have not spent the Wildcat formation too much yet.
It must be used, so that our opponents are in doubt whether we'll run it against them, and how often.

Let them guess, then we have a little advantage every Sunday the rest of the season out. It does make a difference in the length for us.

I love the Wildcat formation!

:woot:

Not so much using it too much as using it in some strange situations. But it seems like they are seeing what they need to see to make it effective later so we can move the chains with it or even break off a big play, so I'm not going to argue with Henning for now :)

Using it with five or less yards to go further enhances the ability to pass to a wide open player downfield. We should run it as much as possible against teams that struggle against the run to add to their frustrations.

It has been a very effective tool to mask the fact that our O-line is young and under developed. It also helps us at our right guard postions woes when they pull like they do. I would like to see more of it. Get Ginn involved in it. We know he can run and he can throw it. That would be another wrinkle to throw at defenses.

Do whatever that's productive, it's not hurting chad's numbers, were they doing it too much when ricky took it to the house last Sunday? Do what you're good at, that just like saying do the Arizona Cardinals pass too much?

Nope. Hopefully we see a designed option out of it. Almost looked on that Ronnie TD that it was an option to Cobbs. He ended up getting the lead block instead.

Use the Wildcat and continue to do so. And on a sidenote, that **** better be in Madden next year.

I just want to see the Ted Ginn end around wrinkle. Other than that I love the way they balance the play calling. I think after last week though ensuring Ricky gets his fair share of carries should also be a concern.

Nah. I do think we need to mix up the playcalling a bit. Ronnie has only thrown one pass out of the Wildcat. We need to make it more multi-dimensional, maybe add Ginn to the formation also.
