wildcat monday night

This is the game we have been waiting for to pull out a few new wildcat wrinkles.
We pulled out a couple last Monday Night against the Colts with some new blocking schemes. We did some things differently.
Justin Smiley said before the season started that they have worked on 12 new wildcat plays.. And he said when people see them they will be excited.
Well we haven't ran even half of the new wildcat plays yet. So we have many left in the bag. Expect some of it to come out of the bag against the Jets Monday night.
Do you think Sparano is happy about what Rex did to our offense last year ? Sparano/Henning/DAvid Lee will have some tricks up their sleeve Monday Night to get that Jets defense off balance.

The only question is who is going to be doing the throwing out of it, Henne (they left him in once or twice today), White, Thigpen, Ronnie, Ricky, and even Ginn looked like he wanted to throw a ball this season.
For some reason I don't think the Jets will be able to stop it anywhere near as well as the Ravens did but we still should throw out of it early just to keep the safety a little honest. And if the Jets give up 5 yards a play like everybody else we should more against them then we ever have before.

Or even better, we should hint at it all week long and then never show it.

Sparano:"Not only can they not contain the wildcat, we're going to make him eat his words!"
Reporter:"what leads you to believe they can't stop it?"
Sparano:"let's just say we've added some new wrinkles we know they can't stop with their personnell, and the way they line up."
The media will have a field day and ol' ****y will turn it into his own personal mission thinking about it (ahhhh, pride is such a double edged sword). And then nothing...
This would at least split his defenses' focus (a little)...if not frustrate them further by not showing it to them.

Expect the Jets to blitz, blitz and blitz...then blitz some more. That's how heshutdown the cat in the playoffs, and that's how you treat a young QB like ours. We are going to have to establish the run any way that we can, so I would expect some wrinkles for sure.

i dont think its us who needs to be taken back to reality, its u guys. ur defense is good, but not good enough [ like the ravens or steelers for example] that ur offense can put up 10 pts a game and still win. it showed yesterday, and finally sanchezs errant throws that he has been making all season were actually costly. u guys need to wake up and realize that sanchez isnt rlly any good, and he honestly has been playing the same way henne played yesterday, which is manage the game. dont even put him in the same sentences as any other good young qb, like ryan, flacco, etc bc he aint even close. u guys r going down monday night, i hope ur prepared for ur season to spiral downward.

I for one don't even want to see the wildcat. I don't want Henne coming off the field. 3-4 plays at most for the Cat.

I don't have to be taken back to reality because never once did I mention that the Jets are a great team nor did I ever say Sanchez was a great QB. You can believe all you want that the Jets D isn't that good, you will find out the hard way Monday night. They have completely shut down three of the top ten offenses in the league so far. I'm not sure what you consider good enough but I consider a top 3 D to be good enough.
I'm not stupid enough(like Dolphins fans) to put a QB that has now 4 starts in the same category as QBs that have played a full season and led their teams to the postseason. You are out of your mind if you don't think Sanchez has the potential to be a great QB in this league. He has been a huge part of our three wins and was also a huge part of our one loss.
