How long till other teams try to run the Wildcat against us? And do you think we'll be able to contain it.

I think it's just a matter of time before someone try's it. What say you?

Jake Long said the Dolphins defense stops them a lot in practice. I think the defense is prepared for it, but it takes a certain type of team and certain type of personnel to run it. I think the Bills could run it with Marshawn Lynch in the Ronnie role and maybe Roscoe Parrish as the end around guy.

it would be very difficult for most teams to do it because they don't know the system. Our QB coach, David Lee, was the OC at Arkansas and he helped perfect it. I know it looks like a fairly simple formation to learn but it's not (especially when we add the unbalanced line to it), and you need the right personel for it (Houston Nutt took the offense to Ole Miss, and while the team is improved, they do struggle in that system).

For the most part...yes. In fact San Diego showed how to contain the harness the Wildcat. Two of the things you have to do is maintain discipline and trying to funnel the play towards the middle.

I would like to see the wildcat formation run with Ted Ginn, he was a QB and had some good throws while in college. Anyway to get him on the field with the ball in his hands would be a plus. They ran it with Bess, but would love Ginn to get a shot to take it to the house.

Charges used a spy(safety) on Ronnie when we lined up in this formation, when the spy did his job the play busted, when the spy did not do his job we got a first down.

You see, even though they had a spy, he had to try and guess what Ronnie was going to do. On the TD the Safety got caught guessing RB was going down the middle.

I think the key to the wildcat is to have 2 very good RBs. It keeps the defenses guessing. It's also the one thing the Dolphins and the Razorbacks have in common.

Im still waiting for Ricky to get the handoff and then Ginn on the reverse and taking it the other way up the sideline!!!

Even if it is only a small gain, it will really rattle up Defenses!!!

no it doesnt. We run it like a typical strech play where the rb takes a direct snap and then waits for the line to be a push.. and then finds a hole. Or a simple wing outside handoff, we havent really been "Tricky" With it.

EVery player in the league is a high flying athlete. Were not special.

the reverse for chambers sure didnt rattle us... who says they arent prepared? heh the chargers werent tricked at all on sunday.
