I am really surprised that there has been no thread on the lack of the Wildcat tonight. The Dolphins only used it three times tonight and showed that they don't need to use it so damn much to move the football.

Additionally, no Pat White at QB tonight. Parcells builds powerful teams that will smack the opponent in the mouth and you just saw them do that to Carolina, with the franchise QB Chad Henne. The Trifecta blew it drafting White in the 2nd round to play QB in this power offense. He can make plays but not from that position. I see no future for him there and they really should reevaluate his staying there.

IMO they should move him to the slot and see if he can make plays or trade him and try and recoup a draft pick for him.

The game plan was excellent. No Pat White at QB and minimal Wildcat. They showed that they can move the ball and as they continue to have success in a conventional offense, look for it to remain the same.

I don't care what type of offense we use as long as we win. I think we mainly have used the Wildcat because we don't have too many dominant weapons on offense, espcially at Wide Receiver. I think our QB coach installed the Wildcat last year after we got off to a slow start and he felt it would help us score more points. We have been scoring plenty of points with the Wildcat, but without Ronnie I don't think we really have anyone who can run it that well. I thought Henne and the rest of the guys looked good on offense tonight, and Ricky had a great game.
I think Pat White in the 2nd round was kind of a reach, but maybe he can help us in other areas besides playing QB? Sparano seems to be focused on making him a QB so who knows. I think you have to give White some time, just like we gave Henne a year to sit and learn before he really played.

The wildcat isn't going anywhere it'll be one of our formations for a while, it throws the D off balance. As for Pat givem a year to bulk up and get his head in the game he'll do fine as a wildcat specialist.. FO knows what their doing look at your pay then look at theirs lol

I'm sure they will use it just enough to make defenses prepare for it, but it will be greatly reduced. Henning was really getting carried away with all the cutsie calls the last several weeks. It was refreshing to watch them smash Carolina in the face.

Well yea TS is a smashmouth coach he wants that type of mentality but having Pat ready to throw the D off once n a while gives us an edge that no other team can match.. Your right, we didn't build our oline up to run the wildcat all game. It's just a change of pace formation and it works with our personnel

We also used the Wildcat at really good times, especially goalline when it's most effective.

The one thing I saw with P.White was after the offense came off the field they showed Henne going over some pictures with coach and Thigpen was there but no White anywhere to be seen. Aren't those the moments you learn, you can see the coverage and then talk about the looks the QB needs to make! Maybe I'm nit picking but I don't think that's a good sign at all.

No doubt White needs to be in those huddles so he can learn.
