Sparano said the team also is still deliberating whether to activate five receivers for the game, which is odd because he also has made it clear Davone Bess will see time as a punt returner, and maybe even as a kick returner.
If that is the case, it suggests Sparano is considering deactivating Ernest Wilford for the game, which would be one more disappointing sign to one of the most encouraging additions of the offseason.
However the passing game works out -- as long as it works out -- Miami continues to be comfortable with its running game heading in Sunday's game.

WoW I would have thought Hagan was not gonna see the Field.

Wow what have you been watching the Dolphins this preseason at all or just reading arctilces on Hagan the past 3 years. Wliford dropped everything in giht until the last game and yes Hagan had 2 drops one with somepretty good coverage. Plus read about how practice is going from the Dolphin coaches Hagan is looking good nothing big about Wilford. Yes there are many on this site down on Hagan "but" they are not the Dolphin coaches or getting paid like the coaches who have their butt on the line if Hagan fails!

This is coach playing games you cant give away everything. If he says anything then the jets can gameplan. Just wait till Sunday all this speculation will become answers to our many questions

well i dont think Wilford discovered how to play on the field yet really, so i dont think he should see it sunday.... gonna suck for him, he gotta step it up to be able to do it up

Loosely translated: "We don't want the Jets to think we'll go five wide on occasion, and, we don't want them gameplanning for a 6'4 WR."

I think Sparano will be starting Wilford and move him to the slot when Camarillo comes in. If there will be a WR inactive, it will be London, not Wilford.

Earn your time on the field ...

Remember Wilford was signed before the coaches really 'knew' what we had, and who we would pick up later.

He might prove his worth as the season moves along ... but he hasn't earned anything yet.

I still believe that he was picked up to be the big possession receiver going across the middle ... if the others are doing a better job at catching the rock over the middle, then he brings nothing to the table -- as his height is no benefit if he doesn't catch.

BS. I will believe that Bess will return any kick before Ginn when I see it. Ginn is the punt returner and will be at least one of two guys returning KO's. I dont buy it for a second. I dont know why he is wasting his time spewing BS. I guarentee the Jets arent buying Ginn not returning every punt. Wilford will not only play, but he will have a major role.

Give Wilford a shot on gameday. I saw some amazing catches from him last year in Jacksonville, (I watched most of their games because Garrard was my Fantasy QB).
