Here’s a tip, Patriots followers: Prepare now for life without Wilfork. The talented nose tackle of the Patriots yesterday confirmed what has been speculated for the last week or so, namely that he is dissatisfied with his contractual situation and that he deliberately skipped the recent organized team activities (known as OTAs). Technically speaking, OTAs are voluntary. At the moment, Wilfork is no different than Manny Ramirez during the initial days of spring training, minus the guise of an ailing grandparent.
He is not obligated to be there. And at the moment, he has no intention of giving the Patriots anything above and beyond the contractually required.
"My main thing is that Vince Wilfork is looking out for Vince Wilfork, point-blank," Wilfork said during a charity event yesterday. "Whatever it may be."

Gotta love the Dolphins fan who posted the comment after the article lol:

Wilfork is going look great in aqua and orange.
It will be nice for him to get back home next year; not have to pay state income tax; work for a coach the players love and is known for his toughness and fairness; and help the defending Super Bowl champions go for a repeat like back in 72 and 73!

Nothing there that says Wilfork's interested in Miami, or vice versa. It would be nice, though; as he probably has at least a couple of good years ahead of him. The Pats probably saw this coming, which would explain the Ron Brace pick.

I definitely could see Wilfork in our future. Ferguson is likely going to retire at the end of the season and we don't really seem to have any solid replacements. The Pats seem to be bracing for a future without him with the Brace selection in the draft. Wilfork would probably love to come to Miami since he would get to face the Pats, and he is from Florida and went to Miami for college.

I want him. Badly. I don't care how much money it takes, get his [bleep] down here in aqua and orange.

he also went to my highschool.. santaluces high in boynton! hopefully well be giving him a welcome back...

santaluces is in lake worth =) not boynton. close though

He could be our next Tim Bowens. I remember when he used to dominate for miami in the trenches. Miami would have the best run defense in the league with Wilfork jammin up o-lines

This front office has a plan and I personally don't see big Vince in it. I would love to see the guy down here, and while it is true DT is probably our biggest need and Vince is gonna be the best out there, we are not gonna break the bank to bring in a high priced free agent. It just isn't the way these guys think. Look at the way they do things, Vince is gonna command Albert Hanyesworth money and NO ONE on Parcells team is worth that. JMO, and kinda hope I'm wrong, but Vince goes somewhere other than South FLA.

Great NT's are prized possessions.
If you want a great one you pay the money.
Wilfork is in that category.

I do not get it sometimes the cap is their to put a team that can win. but if you can hold of one of the best in a position and one who will be 27 how can you justify some b.s about cap space. what does cap space do you cannot find a NT and every team runs 150-200 yds a game and you win 4/5 games in season. will having a tonne cap space make you happy to watch your team lose.

Respectfully disagree. Wilfork takes too many plays off. Satele dominated him in the first game. He is not in the class of Haynesworth.
I think he is a very good NT, but, like most Pats players a bit over rated.

Superb run stuffer!!!! and would be awesome, but i dont think FO would stump up cash for him. No matter what, cant wait to see him leave our division.
