I'm just wondering. Do you guys think Sparano has a shot at Coach of the Year if the fins go 9-7? I'm afraid Jim Zorn could edge him out if the Redskins stay on this roll, but I'm interested in your take on this.

yeah. he has just as good a chance as everyone.
and if no one figures out how to stop our wildcat offense....

consider it a lock! lol!

Even if we go 8-8, he could be considered coach of the year.. that would be our best mark since 2005, and only 1 game below that mark... If we go 9-7, I would think Sparano is a shoe in for COY, and dont forget, 9-7 could get a team into a wildcard match in this years weak AFC

without a doubt. I think Sparano needs to go on a diet, we dont need dropping dead anytime soon. He should ask Parcells and Marino about their diet. lol.

yea but lets not forget Zorn got a team that was in the playoffs last year! We only had 1 win haha. If we go 9-7 id say its a lock

After beating New England and the Chargers you have to have the feeling we can beat anyone. The problem is staying humble and playing one game at a time. Hopefully we stay humble and not beat ourselves like in years past.

I think if Coach Sparano can make take this team to .500 he will definetly get a nomination after that he could win COTY.

yup. him and zorn are leading that race right now.

I give him the edge over Zorn. Zorn inherited a good team. Sparano inherited the worst record for a team in several years.

if sparano makes his team 8 games better from a year ago, then yes he will be. That would possibly the best increase in wins in one year ever.

The Redskins fielded a pretty decent team last year, so pieces were already in place for a good season, whereas we were 1-15 last year and have virtually a whole new squad......ADVANTAGE SPARANO

9-7 and playoffs....maybe. but no playoffs, no award IMO.

98 Colts were 3-13....Jim Mora led them to a 13-3 record in 99 and still didn't win coach of the year.

Of coarse Vermeil who did win it took the Rams from 4-12 to 13-3 and a SB Championship, so there was some stiff competition.
