WILL ALLEN Dolphins next free safety???

Ummm because he isn't big enough and isn't a sure enough tackler? (insert the Gibril Wilson comments here)
The guy is a cornerback and that is where the coaches feel like he accels.
 
he actually is known to a good tackler for a DB plus Free safeties dont have to be that big, its Strong safeties that have to be big. they play in a lot run support. Will Allen is fast and can roam the field. I'd like the idea.

I'll give you the size thing even though he is taller than Bob Sanders and only a few lbs. lighter, but to say he isn't a good tackler is absurd.

Allen is one of the better tackling DB's in the league. Tackling has never b een his problem. Now, catching a football......that's another story.

Sanders is a strong safety.

Size doesn't matter or have some of you forgotten Zach Thomas?
 
Maybe? Will Allen actually when he was playing I believe had the best coverage catch percentage. Surprisingly better than Revis by a bit. I forget where I saw it but he only let up 11 receptions. So it really depends on how Bell n Gibril step up the last 3 weeks and hopefully playoffs. We will see but I don't think its totally a bad idea.
 
I would think free safety would be his only chance of continuing his career - he had borderline speed for corner even before this season. It sounded like a particularly bad injury though - most likely he's done
