Assuming we don't get Trent Green that leaves us with Culpepper/Beck/Lemon. Considering Culpeppers injury does anyone actually think Beck will be our starting QB this year, especially if he performs well in preseason?

If he soaks up the offense in this offseason, he has the maturity to start. I think it would be better to get green for one year and then beck take over from then on.

no i think culpepper willbe ok and start. I just hope he doest worry about hurting himself again.

I think for Beck to start he would really have to show Cam something really special during camp. But even if we get Green, every QB is going to have to earn it. If Beck earns it then he might be our guy game 1. On the other hand Lemon might be our guy game 1. lol...

Probably not. I'd guess that Culpepper should be ready by training camp. More likely however, we will end up with Trent Green for a year or two before the reins are passed. Trent will either be traded to us for one of our sixth round picks, or he will be cut and we will pick him up for nothing...

it think it realy depends on himself in training camp /preseason. and than i really dont see him starting week 1 maybe mid season if we fall off the face of the earth again!

I'd rather see Beck struggle for half a season than waste picks & time on Green. Of course I hope Culpepper is healthy and we keep him too.

Pre-season will be interesting -- Beck has all the physical tools, he has maturity, he's intelligent, etc. If any rookie QB can be a successful starter as a rookie, it's Beck. That said, if Culpepper is healthy and Green comes in, it's hard for me to believe Beck gets a shot as of game 1.

I agree %100. He is 26 and I don't think rushing him into service is a bad thing. What, Brady had like 2 rings at 26. Big Ben 1. I think the best way for Cam to win the fans back is start him. Of course if he fails he'll catch heat but isn't he catching it anyway?

If Beck were to start in week 1, we would be setting him up to fail. Then we would have to listen to all of the Quinn fans say "I told you Beck sucked."
He will need time to develop. Of all the drafted QB's, I feel only Russell will start in week 1, and the lack of a developmental period will cause him to struggle as well. If CPep is not ready, and we don't get Green, it would be better to start Lemon rather than throw Beck to the wolves. Look for Vernon Carey to move to left tackle so whoever is in there should have better protection AND more weapons. This spells improvement at QB, no matter who is back there.

Trend Green will become next starter QB for us, unless John Beck or Daunte Culpepper shows better fit than Green handling our offense or Trend shows some kind of injury-related problem.

Why would you assume we wont get Green? In order for you to do that Im gonna assume one of the following two things are true about you......

1) You have been in a coma for a couple of months or....

2) You are completely clueless and or believe all the bs that gets thrown around by Peterson(the chiefs gm) and Randy/Cam about Culpepper.
