I'm posting this poll to see if you guys think that BESS will make the 53 man roster. I have seen the highlights on the fins website and he looks good. I hope that he make the roster. Even if it is on special teams. He's got alot of talent.

CK and I talked a little about this. He feels that Ginn, Wilford and Hagan are locks and Camarillo and Bess are the 4 and 5 right now.

I would think a lot of whether Bess makes the team right now depends on what happens with Terry Glenn and seeing if Bess out performs Camarillo, Kircus and Foster in pre-season.

I think yes, This guy can flat out catch the ball. We need a guy like that our qb can rely on in the slot. I think he will be a guy we can keep on our roster as our 4th and a year or two be our slot receiver.

I think he makes it in as probably the 5 guy on the WR team. I'd put him back there on kickoffs with Ginn.

Well Im the only "no" vote so far. I think he will make the PS. He does have a shot to make the 53 man roster though, especially if Glenn dosent sign.

Right now Ginn, Hagan, and Wilford are locks. If Glenn signs thats 4. I think most of you guys are sleeping pretty hard on Kircus. I think he makes it as the #5 if Glenn signs and if Glenn dosent then I think Kircus is a lock. To me Foster has just as good of a chance as Bess to make the final 53. If Glenn dosent sign I think Foster and Bess could be battling with Camarillo for the last WR spot.

he wont make the PS because if we cut him, someone else will pick him up. i hope he makes the team, we need someone who when you throw the ball to them you know they will catch it.

he is catching the ball very well, but is struggling with seperation (much like all our WR's).... Kircus seems to be palying decent also though. I hope we go with more than 5 WR's... we are not going to have the best of WR crews in the NFL at all, i like options.

I'm confused, if WR is a position we are weak at, why not keep 6, instead of 5? Is there a rule that says we can only keep 5? Why not keep 6 WRs and cut someone from another position we are strong at?

based on his college career? yes. based on how he's performed this week? Yes, he has caught everything thrown to him.

If he perfomrs well during preseason, he has to make it. If he's catching the ball and moving the chains, he's got to be on the team.

Foster might get on because of his speed and moves, allowing him to return kicks, but Bess is the better WR right now.

I hope Bess makes the team. When I watch him, I see similarities of Welker & W.Chrebet. Small WR but good hands. As someone else mentioned however, if you can't get open then what good are good hands. If his routes / getting open improves, he could be a clutch WR. And for some reason, I don't think we'll sign Glenn. If they do, they may go w/six WR's w/Ginn & Foster returning kicks. I think it's going to look like this.

WR1 / WR2 - Ginn / Hagan
WR3 - Wilford
WR4 - Bess (slot)
WR5 - Foster

* If Glenn get's signed he will be a WR1 or WR2, w/Hagan sliding down.

Go Fins!
